Dudes - what route are you taking from the TP??? I'm trying to organise the Hull Crew and it looks as though we may be meeting the Grimsby boys at Ferrybridge Services as well. If you're heading East from TP to the A1 we could perhaps meet you at Ferrybridge Services too???

As far as I know this is the route

OR keep on old A1 upto Dishforth then country road (abit of fast twisty stuff) in to top end of Ripon & then A6108,
I,ve been both ways on my work deliveries, both are ok roads.
Just an idea,
Mark
So it looks like we'll be going right passed you

Just to recap :-

WYIOC stand organisors and exhibitors meet at the TP at 8:15am, to arrive at LW for 9:15.

Main convoy meet at TP at 9:30am, and await the arrival of S.Yorks/Midlands. Leave approx 10am and collect Hull Scoobs at Ferrybridge. Collect York Scoobs as we pass J.47 A1.

Are we sorted with the Gay-zebo, BBQ and chairs & tables ?

Upto date list is on the 1st post of this thread HERE.

Would the organisor of the Hull convoy like to PM me a mobile number so I can call as we are passing Ferrybridge.

Dave.
  • Gayzebo & Drinks are sorted.
  • BBQ - Waiting on Phil for info on his Gas one. I can take my Mini-Weber at short notice.. No issues.. People just need to take their own Meat etc..
  • Table - We still need to arrange a table..... Anyone with a camping table or similar?
  • Chairs - I reccomend people taking one of those £10(Tesco) fold-up ones if they want to sit in the stand area..

I'm afraid the BBQ wont fit in my car

It could possibly fit in a scoob estate if anyone whos going has one, failing that it will need a small escort van type vehicle

Anyone wishing to Join the earlier convoy that will setup the club stand, I have changed the meeting point to suit those coming.. it is an old meeting point we've used before..

It is on Leodis Way just off J44 the M1 on the A639. Leodis way is just off a new roundabout that leads to the main Stourton PO Sorting Office.. It's in the A-Z and is sign posted PO Sorting Office.. You can get to it from J7 on the M621 or the M1 J44..

This will make it easier to meet and shoot straight off as the TP is a few miles in the opposite direction for those coming from the West/South of Leeds..
We'll there at 8am.. leaving at 8:15..
Currently; Me, Steve Chaps, Phil, Mark & Daz.

I do believe there is a tressle/pasting table lurking in my garage with nothing better to do on Sunday, never been used in fact, not sure about stability but happy to bring it if required

so you'll be bringing your Fairy...

...Liquid with you to do the washing up

I'll try to drag out a suitable-strengthened deckchair to save replacement costs on some of the "lesser" brick outhouse varieties

You might get a quicker answer from http://www.uk-performance.net/ as it's Phil's (MadGrip) own BBS.

Cool.

I reckon that by the time we get there Al, Phil and Steve are gonna have no hair left, and it will just be dawning on them that the key bit that they need to get the gayzebo frame put together has been cunningly 'kept back at Sticky's' for comedy value.

Printed the banner today, that's getting welded and eyeletted this evening and collected tomorrow. Looks like it's all coming together (just don't mention the y e a r b o o k )

We could do worse than to hand a bunch over to the Clinic lads and ask 'em to put then on their stand. Can't see them objecting.
