Last year we met up with guys from S. Yorks, WASOCS, Midlands and a few others and managed 49 cars (that's what we counted on Stickys videos shot from the bridges en route ), that was 12% of the total attendance. So, can we top that this year We'll have to go some to beat TTS's 105 car convoy last year, but we have to try

Meet up at The Trading Post, just off J. 31 M62.
Stand cars meeting at 8:15am for a 9:15 arrival at LW.
Main convoy meeting at 9:30am for a 10am departure for LW, when the S.York/Mids boys have arrived.
Collect Hull guys as we pass Ferrybridge.
Collect York guys as we pass J.47 A1.

Sorry Stevey, I don't think many/any of the WYIOC are bothering. We went to a few of these last year, and the concensus of opinion amongst us seems to find it rather boring, like watching traffic set off from the lights but quicker. Proper track stuff, yeah. Runs out on challenging roads, yeah. Monthly meet for beer, nosh and banter, Hell yeah. Dragstrip, nah !

Monthly meet at the TP on the 26th, then NBO on June 12th. Maybe a little something in between if I can be persuasive

 

Stevey... It's a real shame, because it'll cost me £40 to take my Missus, lad & his mate. So at £10pp, plus food etc, it's too steep to just spectate for few hours, especially if you want it to be a part family day out, as we do, as we'll be our way to the MacArthur Glen place in York to shop....

£10 per car is a bit different. But I'm not sure why the spectators have to stump up a large portion of the day's fees considering the track day at Elvington was free, with some great cars there also (probably less than a shootout day).. Maybe the competing payments simply don't cover the hire costs and they need to recoup..?? Plus, I was privileged to ride in, and listen to, one our members' Challenge Stradale so that sort of comparison doesn't help.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great spectacle (my lad helped out in the timing caravan last year so got some great views..and a T-Shirt) and there are some great cars there (maybe the odd Bike) so I suggest you make your own mind up!

What's the full address of the trading post? So I can check out mileage involved. Also, what time are you guys meeting up their and what time are you setting off?

Hopefully, if we come along including mine it will be 4 scoobs (one of which the WYIOC already knows well , not mine).

I just need to work out how long it's gonna take us to get to the trading post as we are not far away from lightwater valley as it is
