Do your main shopping in the store (over £50 I think) and you get a 5p a litre discount voucher!

99RON for 80p/litre!

So does the 5p a litre off thingy, also include the 99 RON stuff???? Bloody hell, that'd be good The only thing is, it'd cost £80 round trip to get to a Tesco that sells the stuff!!!!

Yep, all this sounds good, but doesn't Optimax have detergents and lots of good stuff for your engine as well as being 98.6 ron. Is this Tesco 99 as good for you. I have Optimax on me Cornflakes..

all lubes/fules come from the same place and then the individual company i.e shell, tesco add the additive to make it super unleaded

tesco wouldn't be able to sell blue & white stripe petrol it all has to meet a standard.

hope this makes things clearer.

BTW, The new hooooooooge tesco (well the one that's half built) in slough has started to do this now, unfortunately at optimax prices maybe it'll come down once the store actually opens

I must admit no activity on my knocklink what so ever, so I guess I will be converting, (best go and get the reward card!)

Anyone else tried it?

Cheers Kev.

I stopped at Tesco Camberley earlier off the M3, junction 4, and in big writing on the super unleaded pumps it says '99 OCTANE'. 86.9p a litre, compared to Optimax 91.9p, Shell, Gillette, A4 Isleworth. I''l let you know if the car feels different, let the weather cool a bit. Anyway, how the f**k can they legally sell fuel at 'point 9' of a penny? Has anybody got a 0.9p coin?

must admit i've tried a few tanks of this and it's doesn't seem to make any difference. ok so i haven't got a knocklink to look at, but apart from a stainless zorst my car is standard so i don't need see the need for one.

will be sticking to sainsburys sul. at 82.9p per litre it does the job for me!!!
