And a simple battery disconnection for a couple of hours will reset it right?

yeah, seen that somewhere before. Doesn't it involve taking out the speedo and bridging 2 connectors or something?

Nah, the connectors are taped up under the steering wheel column - the hardest part is finding them!

Remember too, the MAF Sensor doesn't like the 12Volts disconnecting from it - it goes into limp-home mode when reconnected!!

To re-set the MAF please carry out the following:-

1. Connect the battery while having a portable radio tuned into Radio2 - failure to do this will make your Intercooler go into Heatsink mode once engine is started.

2. Once connected please dance around the car in a clockwise direction in a Morris Man outfit with the special Subaru bells tied to your shoes. Failure to do so will put a con-rod through the side of your block

You have been warned ..... Shaun is getting tired of your childish behaviour, please smarten up your acts!!

Lets talk petrol .... 99RON, 97RON, 95RON .... does your KnockLink light up like a Xmas tree?? Does your laptop go haywire, Does your PS2 show the Impreza in the garage all the time?

Questions, questions ........

Please no more **** taking - they can't help themselves

As a new guy to this forum I am so happy to see a thread I started has got so much response but don't you guys think you need to calm down a bit. We all want the same thing, a cheap fuel that works. I tried it today and I did notice a difference, the car just ran smoother and that's all I want. Try it yourself, if you don't like it fine, go back to Optimax!! No one is forcing you to use anything. You all have brains so use them.
This forum is for advice, its not a Scooby Courtroom.... I have made my choice of fuel as its closer, feels better and its cheaper. I will lose no sleep over your preferred choice of fuel.
And on that note, I wish you all a goodnight.
You didnt get my point m8ty. 1 ron extra and also cheaper than optimax is a great thing. I will stick to using tesco 99 anyways. Its just that ppl say they feel alot more power etc thats what i think its a joke.

Sort it out you looser, your the one getting personal. All I said was to stop going on about getting people to test it. People who have a knocklink probably have alot more mods then you and therefore a more expensive engine to "blow up". They don't need to sacrifice that for you or anyone else. If you dont want to use it until its been tested to the highest of all human standards then fine, wait! But dont keep going on about wanting proof.

If any one needs to take a chill pill its you!!! And who are you calling a **** merchant???

What the hell have you done to towards this thread? F**k all... I started this thread, I took the Photo (that you disbelieved) and I have tried and am using the fuel in question. All you are doing is getting on your high horse and shouting "I want, I want".

Do you have your food tasted before you eat it Mr oh high and mighty?? Something tells me you aint been laid in a long time and I'm not surprised, you probably scare off any would be **** by forcing them to have a full medical in case you encounter any unwanted DET or do you get someone to test drive them first?
Stick to your Optimax and get some super lube while your at it. Your so **** your going to need it!!!

Sorry guys, I know I'm new in here but I'm not going to be spoken to like that. All I did was put up a photo and my opinion of my trials of the fuel. A bit of banter is fine, its to be expected and a bit of a laugh. But he has taken this too far.

First time I ever read a thread all the way through. My old Legacy GT Auto might well benefit from this stuff. Being an auto I "have" to let the ECU/auto decide when to change up. Invariably it fluffs and dies just before the upshift. Not a huge amount but enough seat of the pants splutter to tell me it's not happy at those revs.

Fingers crossed then. Can't be arsed with all that octane booster stuff so a regular supply of "almost 100RON" (my quote) gotta be worth finding. SO having seen the "Tesco" list, where is the nearest station to W.London?

Screwdriver.

PS Cheshunt looks closest. Found it here:
Tesco Storefinder

Is this really the closest? Run outta fuel before I get home! Bloody wagons!

WRXtra Power,
Which part of my last post did you not understand exactly?

I appreciate there are others involved, but you are the only person who has just done exactly what I asked not to do directly after I asked.

Please chill out ALL, else this thread will be locked (which before this happened was a good thread).

Many thanks,
Shaun.
