Being far too lazy to search the entire thread, can anyone tell me if there is a list of Tesco's selling this new 'super' fuel. Or even better, does anyone know if it's in any of the Tesco's in the Bournemouth/Poole area?
Please ignore me.

For any one that wants to know,I've been running this all weekend and done a tankfull. No extra activaty on the knocklink just the normal background noise.Ignition timing has not advanced at all,More importantly has not retarded,Active knock correction remains normal,Afr's as expected are the same.Normally i use optimax and cant use ultimate.

Been through a tankful and can honestly say I can't tell any difference (personal perception) over Optimax on a MY05 WRX PPP.
Will give it a few more goes though and it will come down to price vs what other cleaning properties this fuel turns out to have as to whether I switch permanently

im still loving the bit where the 95wrx driver reports its made his car sooo much smoother, even tho he does not really know much about ecu`s knock retard, and having to rest the ecu to see any benefits whatsoever anyway.
classic SN comedy
im just chilling here with a nice pint of optimax and a few NF shooters

Filled up at Tesco yesterday and car feels fine. No difference to Optimax as far as I can tell, other than 2p/L less. No activity on K/l. No extra knock figure on the Apexi commander. Mapped with Optimax only.
Ultimate lit the k/l like an xmas tree and it's dearer than both. Never use that again.
Tesco is 2 miles from me and nearest Shell about 12 miles so no contest now.
Nice to have alternatives when travelling about.
Presumably Tesco can't brand a fuel as 99 octane when it's not and can't imagine they would/could call it 99 if it's 98 point something. It'll do for me untill someone demonstrates otherwise.

Going from what I know from my previous Cosworth life, the difference that the old 98 fuel (can we all remember that) made to the present 97 fuel once mapped for (don't for get that the old Cossie ECU's didnt self learn etc) made a huge difference. Normal Stage 3 conversions on 98 used to make around 350bhp whereas the remapped ones for 97 made about 330bhp.
I am not saying this is directly relevant pound for pound for todays fuel or cars, but it was common knowledge that changes in fuel (however much it seems to be considered as a small change by us mere mortals) can have a huge effect on cars.
So here's hoping that this starts the ball rolling with other higher rated fuels and we can all get some extra free BHP.
Regards,
Shaun.

Take a look at the piccy boys, they state a BS standard number that is unique to SUL fuel, it is not the same BS standard number as standard 95 RON unleaded.
They CANNOT market it as 99 RON complying with the BS standard unless it does, otherwise MR Trading Standards will be having a quiet word in Mr Tescos ear.
