they cost me nothing, i would not have paid for them, unless they were very, very cheap.
next question??

they came with the car which was only 2 1/2 years old whan i got it, but one came off about a year later, i can see the tape inside mine but dirt has got in and made them unsticky, and i have got 2 splits round the bolt holes

is there anyway i can repair the splits

i must admit though, that when i got the replicas sprayed and tried to fit them myself i found that they wernt going to fit right as they were, so they were groung down and resprayed then fitted...then the paint crasked...then i lost one
...i chucked the other one in someones hedge

i got a sti6 front lip from the dealer and still trial fitted it, its makes a lot of sense to do this kind of thing before you paint parts, IMO

when all the tape is removed you should find they fit even tighter then they normally would, i used spray glue to coat them and simply placed them on the car, there is bolt into the wheelarch on the fronts which was put there just to help the fronts keep there position while the spray glue dried, the bolt under neath the fronts is not there, the whole metal bracket was removed as it was rusty
my front ones have went nowhere scince and i have ground them out a few times (when the car was on the coilovers) which actually removed sum paint underneath them
my rears will be removed and refitted the same way this summer, they are simply held on with the bodywork tape i slapped on after the backend was painted about 2 years ago-ish, i did start to remove them a few weeks back at work, but loads of work came pouring in just after i started so i left them, i need to strip the back end down, clean last years waxoil off and put fresh stuff on anyway, so its on the jobs to do list.
pm me your number and ill talk you through it

I know what you mean... the thread has got very confusing!
Basically i put them on my car beacuase it was the only factory option that been left off the car bodywork wise.
The same can be said with replica spoliers... why do we buy them? Because real ones are like £800 for a STi 6 for instance, yet a replica is £250.
Same with the splash guards, i cant justify spending spending £350 on real ones, when imo, the replicas (ith a bit of effort) look just as good. And im £280+ better off to do other things with.
See picture, only by close inspection can you really pick up on the fact they are replicas.
Peace out...
