New Splash Guards Fitted...What Do We Think?
Bought some ETS splash guards off of a fellow Scoobynetter a few weeks back. Finally got round to painting them up and fitting them...
I Reckon they look pretty sweet, finish off the car perfectly... make it look a bit more aggressive... Opinions welcomed....
Thought I'd post some pictures up. Just to show them on and also to highlight that you dont have to buy original ones at a fortune for them to look any good and fit well..
Heard a few fitting problem's with the ETS ones... but alas.... there they be...

It all depends on how much you wanna spend at the end of the day mine cost around bout £70 all fitted, painted etc..and for official ones graham goode want £300 alone! its hard enough keeping this monster @ 20 as it is!

they are actualy good replicas, when you look at them off the car, you just have to start grinding them down and re glassing them to get them to fit snug to the bodywork, or fill the gap with filler or sumthing.

wing to guard gap is ****en massive on the white one, you just cant see it as bad due to the paint!!
silver car is one that had its skirts and guards colour coded (by the looks of it)
original guards fit snuggly

Yeh i had to grind them down a bit on the inside to make em fit better. Fit fine everywhere else tho, tight to the skirt etc.
Originals are obviously the best... but they are like £300+
As ive said, mine were £60 + £10 paint and laquer... fitted by yours truly..
Some1 wood have to inspect to see they are slightly out on the wing.
Doesnt bother me, im happy wit em and about £250 better off than if i had bought originals....

the point is the originals and replicas both have gaps, thats the way they are! but you being you, just want to point the finger at the replicas
the originals visibly have a gap even with the front on shots! i don't think its an issue, they still LOOK as Stiver3 puts it "sweet"

of the few sets i have seen, its mainly the front passenger side which is not "right"
stop showing pics of the ones which look better
stop showing pics of the ones which look better
i've only got two pics of the originals so i'm showing comparable shots, seems sensible to me

I'll post the 'worst' picture then... for every1 to see....
IMO.... this still isnt bad.... It add to the character of the car... the same way as the front splitter (fitted factory) has a black rubber line to cover the gap as with the skirts (fitted factory).
Cheers funidmental... at least you can see that i realise these are not 100% perfect fit and are happy them all the same... as i had hoped really considering price...

dont make me go and take a 2 pics from both my mates cars which will have you lose buisness,
i could poke my fingers inbetween the splash guards and the wing
this is not a personal attack, i have sum of your foglight covers for a p1, there a bit rough round the edges but there genrally ok, im happy to fit them (after i smoothed a few edges), i wouldnt fit the splash guards myself
one of my mates has allready replaced his rear ones with sum genuine versions, and that wasnt due to my **** taking

looking at the white one above you could have moved that further in to the wing ? people want to take more time fitting part's when needed , you have 2 different material's orginal's are like a softish rubber bit like s1 RST rear spoiler, replica's are rigid grp so the fitting is going to be slightly harder as you have no "give" in the material
i would say your still having a dig
it's like saying " i had my car washed by sticky micky it's ok but when i got home i washed it again properly "
can you tell me who else does the range of part's that he does , he was the first to do the replica splash guard's (jap-ino does copie's now) ,"still the only" place that do 22B vent's for early classic ,P1 front splitter , the range of mini scoop's , the new reverse mini scoop's , the new scoop's for FMIC's , P1 light cover's the list could go on , IMO unlike "normal" retailer's ETS and MRO are the ONLY one's to bring new idea's to market place some guy's on here have trouble fitting decal's so who's fault's that , the decal or the fitter ??
badly matched wallpaper ? wallpaper or the decorator ?

here is my original splash guards on the car..
and and when it has fallen off the car...
they never fitted at all and the replicas were worse
i am not going to bother putting the yello ones back on 'cos they were even worse
you only need them if you are going off road anyway
