Brad,
It's a pity we have a full house on Saturday night cos you could have come up on Saturday and stayed over so you didn't have to get us so early on Sunday morning, but were struggling for room at the moment.
You would be very welcome.
There's a nice Travel Lodge type place nearby if you fancy it?£40 per room i think(but i may be able to get you it for free). I'd gladly book it for you.
Problem is i'm adhering to a strict no alcohol policy on Saturday night.

Steph - I've followed you and you're a much better than you give yourself credit for.

Also - the thing to remember about Sunday is it's not a race. If you find any car too close for your liking, let it go by, slow down, create a gap and then go for it in complete safety. There is plenty of run off and no hard walls to crash into.

You also have to do 3 laps mandatory behind a pace car to learn the track before you are allowed out. You can also follow Paul to get the right lines before going for it on your own.

It'll be a fab day (provided the weather holds) and you'll really enjoy it!!

Paul, cheers for the offer-
tbh- would rather trek up early, it will no doubt be dead that early on a sunday.

going to try and get hold of some large poly sheeting so we have somewhere to stash all out boot stuff in case it r**ins (dont want to jinx it )

Is there a nearby tyre place by any chance?- just in case of punctures..
*COUGH* fo0ked tyres*COUGH*

Steffi:
I think the novelty of overtaking on the left will be mission enough that early

Well I'll be at the back behind everyone else on the mandatory 3 laps so i can see where i'm going. Might even have a quick lesson seeing as tho most people there will have more experience of these things than me. The thing I am most worried about is having an audience...can everyone bugger off when i go out on track??? I get shocking stage fright!
I will probably be ok once i've done a lap but its that first one thats worrying me. You will have to come with me on the first one Ian to hold my hand!

Morning mate...

Yep. We'll arrange to meet on the 22nd at the TP too. Not sure of the details yet as it's dependent upon who's going... But I assume that's now two of us?

Someone mention food? I'm in with Al this time, and if there's free brekky on offer I'm sure I could make it on the 22nd

Do you reckon they'd open up the TP at 5:30 to get the grill nice and warm?

(morning, BTW)

Stuart... Some of the WYIOC are setting off from the Trading Post Meeting venue at 9. There won't be many as another group (KnobbySP1, Pauleds2, Steffi etc..) are setting off from further North...

Join us there if the time is not too early..

Mucky and horrible out there right now, but supposedly brightening later. As I've been on a 12hr nightshift I'm gonna use the weather as an excuse to grab some sleep and meet you all up there around lunchtime. Hope I'm in time for my passenger ride

C U all later

Apart from the quick shower, it turned out to be a great afternoon

Big shout to Ian for the fantastic passenger laps.. Awesome, simply awesome. Shame the 'jobs worth' had to dampen to aural experience.. but we got to hear it nontheless. Sean's still grinning.. many thanks mate..

Paul.. some nice smooth twiddling there mate.. thanks for the ride also.

Steph... I knew you'd end up grinning!! well done.. great stuff

22nd Looms, so hopefully see you all there.. TP set-off for the drive up for the Scooby Shootout

Also look out for the lady bower run thread for Wednesday 18th..

Lovely afternoon, once the rain stopped I was sorely tempted to put mine on track, but the days adrenalin quota was fulfilled, and exceded by Ian. Many thanks again, a truly breathtaking experience I think that's the first time I have ever come close to feeling slightly naucious in a fast car, but the pressures that thing exerts in corners and on braking are extreme Would have loved a run out with Paul (maybe next time ) and it was good to see Steff enjoying it so much.

Looking forward to Ladybower and the next TP I probably won't be at the Shootout

I had a fab day.
Car behaved itself.
I didnt crash it..

360CS was incredible.
Company was great too.

Other cars were a mix, some quality machinery and driving- one or two complete idiots

Sorry I was an anti-social sod getting food at the pub and having to wait AGES for it to arrive before I could come outside and natter with everyone. hunger took over the need to talk

Really looking forward to the next one...
Although need a couple of mods doing before the next visit.

Highly recommended, and Javelin did a cracking job

Good day and good group of people

Nice to meet some new friendly faces with top motors!

Shame about the weather and noise restrictions

Got loads of photoage and photos - all on new video camera so will have to spend some time working out how to download them etc...
