TVR regardless of how much better to build quality may be, I just wouldn't trust it to drive to spa or the ring, spend two days on a track, and still get me home.
I nearly bought a 2nd hand TVR Cerbera, but when you here stories of engines going bang, and them being unreliable, kind of puts me off, Insurance was really cheap, it was that cheap i was in shock for weeks.

Edcase have you considered the Maserati 4200, you can pick up a nearly new one for just under £50k.

Hi Ed

When are you looking on buying?. I have a Cayman S order (within top 10 on the list) with my silverstone garage. Lately I've been thinking that I don't want the Cayman.

If your interested then just send me a PM

Official details are yet to be released by Porsche so I haven't got any info at the mo expect that I've paid 2k deposit No doubt you'll have the same info as me.

Reason of change of heart is I've had my eye on another car which I can get for the summer. If I get the other car then I won't be getting the cayman.

Well unless I return a cheques for 2k then no.

I think Oct 2003 was when I wrote my letter of intent - they asked for the deposit a few months ago, and I just cant afford a 50k car.....well I may be able to do but I would never afford to drive it in the manner it was intended. I thought it would be nearer 40k.

I would much rather be driving a 944 turbo around the ring once a month that having a nice car on my drive that I can only afford to polish!
