Botherd what other people say its my car and i'll do what i want to it, older people on this forum might call you a chav, but who cares about them its your car.
Can someone tell me what a chav is, as anyone being different on this site is called one

With all due respect to everyone, i live about 2 miles from CHATHAM town centre, don't know if anyones heard of Chatham but if you have, and you've been there, you'll know exactly what a chav is and you'll also know that no chavs in this area, could even contemplate owning a Scoobs! They're all too busy queing up in the dole queue and driving their untaxed, uninsured TOTALLY UNROADWORTHY pile of sh*t escorts and the like around (no bitterness at all!!).
I don't like to generalise but believe me, you would notice a chav from a mile off and they wouldn't be in a Subaru!!

I must admit, the first mod i had on my shopping list was a VTA, then i read many many posts, slagging off people that own them. My mind was changed for feart of being labeled as a "chav" etc. But yes it does seem the word chav has been adopted by lots on this forum, as a means to group people who dare to differ from the mainstream.
So yes very soon i will be ordering a VTA for my 02 WRX, and if its $hite then i will remove it, put it on ebay and put it down to experience.
Do what you want to do, its your car. You dont buy a house then let your neibours tell you what coulour you can or cant paint it!

i might get a blasting for this or be labelled a hypocrite for what im about to say...but here goes...!
i think big bodykits, dv, neon lights and all that kind of thing are mainly fitted by people who want to attract attention...the impreza is usually enough of a headturner with few or no such mods, and when people look at my car as i drive past, i appreciate the fact that they recognise a nice, performance car...i dont crave the attention or get a hard on about it...
for me, anyone that wants to attract extra attention to their car outside of a show is suffering a lack of character in certain respects...my mods are purely personal taste, but how many other people can honestly say that about some of their mods...?
i know not everybodys the same, but ask any psychologist and i bet theyd say something along the same lines...is it called overcompensating...?!
