overtaking in the corners in the wet is not on and if he'd planted his motor in the side of mine during one of them manouvers i would have planted my fist on his nose.

Thanks to Mark and Terry for orginising a great day Hope it's fixed soon Terry .

Highlight of the day for me was being driven around in my car by Mike Wilds , I wouldn't of believed my car would go that fast . I googled him and it seems he driven a bit and won the odd championship ( british and world ) . Truly amazing experience . Here if your intrested .

Martin .

Did the following not apply to mini's.??
No overtaking without the car infront indicating and moving to the left.
No overtaking in the corners.
No diving inside into corners and forcing yourself in were there isn't a gap.
Sounds like a standard BMW driver to me

Yes, a very good day despite the weather.

I had a long chat with the mini driver and he seemed a nice bloke; genuinely enthused about all the other cars and certainly did not appear to me to be the type of driver who would behave inappropriately; sorry to hear others felt he did.

Personally, I jumped out of the way when I saw him close in; it's senseless to try and hold a car who is so much quicker than anything else behind, even for even one corner – it’s so easy to make a mistake in the wet if you have one eye in the mirror.

All in all a great day, despite being annoyed about the weather, it’s days like that where you really learn the most about your car and where the limits are.

Clearly, I wasn’t the only one who found the grip exiting “The Esses” was nothing short of “oily”

Under power here, it was really interesting to feel the AYC working “in slow mo” so to speak; transferring the torque to the wheels with the most traction and for a glorious moment you have gone beyond where most cars would lose traction and are being catapulted forwards, even with the slip angle applied on the steering………..and then inevitably, physics take over......

.....Not even AYC could stave off the inevitable power slide and I had some really fun moments (which probably looked less than dramatic from outside the car but made MEfeel like McRae) including one gloriously exhilaratingly, ear to ear grinning moment of a perfectly balanced, zero counter steer power slide….all at the lightning speed of about 50mph!

Sorry for those who managed to find the tyre barrier….never a good end to the day. Although reading back through this thread it does appear that some people slightly over estimated their abilities....as we all often do I hasten to add!

Thanks for your kind comments guys.

As for the overtaking on the corner guys if that happens simply let the organiser i.e me or marshalls know and the problem would of been sorted
rules are rules Im afraid.

Great to meet you all sorry about the weather. One hell of an experiance
nearly as wet as my visit to the ring in September.

Good feedback from the instructors on the general ability of all drivers with
such a wet track.

Hope to see some, if not all of you on the Spring blast at CC in Mar/Apr next year.

Cool Steve

Scott the marshalls suggested you fit a strimmer to the front of the MX so you can edge the grass on your way around next time

Awesome Photos of Scott Steve & Pete

Scott think you won the gardener of the day award.

Bit worried there is one picture of you with the car rear in line :-)

Nope I've had my time with modding cars and wasting money. Everything is totally standard apart from a backbox, induction kit and a good driver
