It's boring if you sit and watch it. Do something useful at the same time and it's a winner. I just take a few laps now and then.

99.08% complete in GT2 on the PS1!!! Thats impressive seeing as the highest you can get in that game in 98.2% due to the drag racing section being removed before the game was released.

18 hours in now and I'm 2 and a half laps up. That should be enough to put a Bentley in my garage ready for tomorrows 24hr race

LOL I'm 4 hours in and just one lap up on the second Le Mans 24 Hr. Should be all over by around 18:30 tomorrow unless I get some time to speed it up over breakfast Then I think my longest endurance race is the 9 hr one and then it should be a doddle, apart from some of the missions, some of the races, etc.

LOL

done 2 of the 24hr races - Nurburgring & Le Sarthe 1. My B-Spec driver walked the ring winning by about 26 laps, Le Sarthe was another matter though - I think my driver had a major off and got stuck somewhere, was only 1 lap up midway through but finished 4 laps clear.

I've no idea what my game percentage was for GT2 - got 100 on GT3 and up to 38 on GT4 - although I'm just trying to bag as much cash as possible at the moment so I can buy the black Le Mans cars (need to get 3m credits in 50 days)

Anyone tried the Formula GT Championship in Extreme Hall yet

I won Le Sarthe 2 by 1 lap! Now entered Le Sarthe 1 using the Bentley, it had taken the lead just as I left for work, pit stops were the same as the other cars for a change.

On Le Sarthe 2 I'd forgotten to turn down the driver aids and I think this made it a closer race than it should have been, the Bentley's running 1, 1, 1. My playstation has been running flat out since Friday!!

I was 2 and a half laps ahead on Le Sarthe 2 when I left for work today, with around 11 hrs remaining. I never thought to turn the driver aids off/down

I was going to give my PS2 a rest after Le Sarthe 1, but thought I may as well get the last 24 hr over and done with Think I'll give it a well earned rest tonight when it's finished. Should have around 11 million credits by that point as well so should have enough funds for the funky black cars

I noticed my driver having a wall moment (and the other drivers) last night, but it seemed to occur on fresh tyres whilst nailing it down the straight. I think the undulations in the road may cause it to kick out every now and then. Never noticed it on the Nissan race car, but it does it every now and then on the Audi one. Still, 2 1/2 laps (which equates to about 8 and a bit minutes) after 13 hrs isn't too bad a lead.

I had the feeling I was going to wake up this morning with another 2nd place in Le Sarthe 2, I doubt my bloke would've won if I hadn't been there to confirm the pit stop options for a good portion of the day.

My steering wheel should be here today or tomorrow, I'll get back into doing my own driving then.

Think I'll get Le Sarthe 2 (unchicaned?) done tonight - then thats all the 24hr races out of the way. Think I'll also let b-spec do the 8hr Motegi race too - boring track IMHO.

I did Le Sarthe 2 this weekend in the AMG CLK GTR, and that was a close run thing. The car is fast but it handles like a pig, even with b-spec doing most of the work, it would still manage to crash it driving in a straight line. After 429 laps I eventually won by 1 lap over the nearest car, but it was a hard won 1 lap, which took until the 11th hour to get, after which I just went as fast as necessary to keep that lap advantage, remembering its best to drive as slowly as possible to win, if you know what I mean.

But it was all worth it, the Bentley is awesome to drive, I'm looking forward to doing the Ring 24hrs in it next weekend.

Oh just for fun, here's a nice website with some useful information.

Where to win which car;-

http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/gran_turismo_4_na_prize.txt

copy and paste, DO NOT SET AS A LINK, it doesn't like it.

So far, the only thing that I've heard of as of now, is that you can't get 100%
of the game completed. Sony of Japan recently stated that because of a
production problem, it is NOT possible to get 100% of the game done. The highest
possible percentage is 98.2%. I'm pretty sure that the other 1.8% HAS to be the
drag racing mode that was apparently left out of GT2.
To be honest I never bothered to complete GT2, did GT1 all the way but never the second one. I hear the only way you could get higher than 98.2 was to change the language to Dutch and then run the Opel races as these counted seperate from Vauxhall. Not sure if this is true or not

paul.

First thing I did after winning a few races was get into the tuning shop and up-grade the exhaust & induction Kit. Head-phones on sounds mint & quick enough to win the beginers races. Now to save up & get my self an Evo, joke, Scooby and start tuning that up. The Integra does`nt half handle well though (just like real life for anybody thats driven one).
Definately agree with you there. The Integra Type R DC5 looks beautiful and handles even better. Bought one the other day in white, fully lightened it, lowered it and tuned it slightly from 220 to 250bhp and its perfectly balanced. One of the best front drivers in the game in my opinion.

Now I have a dilemma. Steering wheel has turned up here at work and I have a 24 hour race going on at home that will have been running for about 12 hours. Do I sack the race and use the wheel, or wait for the race to finish?? Doubt I'll be able to resist sacking the race.

Just got home from work to use the steering wheel that arrived this morning. Thought I started work at 3, so was very happy to get wheel at 9.30 this a.m.

Then get phone call from work. "Are you coming in today?" "yeah, start at 3" "No you start at 8" "No I don't" etc etc.

Doh!

But it's bloody difficult using the wheel for the first time, sort of got used to the pad. Any tips? Got all tomorrow to practice, unless I get a phone call to say I've got it wrong again
