Just got the game today. Love It.
You are able to carry credits over (just once) when you start up form any GT3 file. I had 25,000 so I bought myself a Honda Integra Type R (the most recent one). First thing I did after winning a few races was get into the tuning shop and up-grade the exhaust & induction Kit. Head-phones on sounds mint & quick enough to win the beginers races. Now to save up & get my self an Evo, joke, Scooby and start tuning that up. The Integra does`nt half handle well though (just like real life for anybody thats driven one).

I bought the game last week. Should of started with a second hand scooby, for 14,900 credits. That would of left you with over 10,000 credits to tune it up with. Thats what i did. Im currently racing with a 200mph 1961 Jaguar E-type, quality. Been playing the game for a week solidly, and only 20% complete!!Its Huge!!

Bought it a few wks ago, played it and felt some what let down
Have had all the previous versions and adored them, played till my fingers did'nt work and hands were in a perminant playstation grip!!
Could'nt carry any credits over cause I lost all my game saves (when scum stole my consoles), so was looking forward to starting again, but for some reason I just can't get the same passion. Has anybody else felt this ? cause I spoken to a few people at work who either love it or feel like me.
Running an old RWD Skyline, got a few upgrades on it the eek the most out of it
Gonna try and sit down and play it. Is it cause im nearly 30 ?

I'm not the best when it comes to the technical aspect of these kind of things. Can you get GT4 for PC or is it only for PS2? Any 'cheat' versions out there for PC? I've got force feedback wheel and pedals etc for the usual Macrae rally games etc and don't fancy forking out for a PS2 as I only really want GT4.

I'm in a 24 hour race right now at the 'ring. Myself and the B bloke are driving a Mercedes CLK touring car 2000 model. 8 hours in and the Audi TT and BMW M3 GTR are catching.
Stunning game.

Don't waste your time tuning the ITR Martin, I was disappointed with the results og tuning the DC2 ITR which I bought first, after I spent 65,000 credits on N/A Stage 3 tuning and with everything else it's totally undrivable (spins in 5th with NOS or even upto 4th without ffs!)

24 Heures du Mans tonight. B bloke is driving a Mercedes CLK GTR. 1:40 and 31 laps into the race and I'm in the lead by 30 seconds. Looks like a close one.
All of the cars have at one point thrown a wobbly on the Mulsane straight, driving into the wall until they stop. Odd.

I had the same problem Jack with the Mulsane straight, and that was on one of the other races and not the 24hr. Not sure I trust the AI on that one. My bloke just seemed really keen to see what was off the track
Spent a bit of time this afternoon getting my credits up (around 9.5 mill now) as I'm at around day 660 so soon time to buy the funky motors in the last 6 days of the 600s

I can't get enough of B spec now the endurance races are open, playstation set up in the kitchen, quick glass of brandy and a few laps of the 'ring whilst racking up the credits.
Hanslow, do you know how much the cars are? I heard about 6,000,000

LOL I leave mine on overnight or when we go out somewhere after making sure the driver can make it round the first few laps OK. I think I've got about 9 endurances left, including the two Le Mans 24 Hr ones
I'd read somewhere (can't remember at all where) that they cost around 9 million in total for the 6 cars. I think I was on day 656 when I just checked, so I'll find out in 38 game days. I could speed it along by aborting lots of races, but the old PS2 is having a rest at the moment
I'm still only 45% through the game as well

Nice one. My CLK GTR is a certain winner on the second of the Le Mans races, It wont be a whitewash, but I'm resting easy. The... errr can't remember what it's called Nascar loop like track was sooo close, I was using the F1 car and won it on the last corner!!
Time for another stint I think, set my bloke back a bit.

18 hours in and my B bloke is down to 2nd place. I'm trying to blame my Pit strategy, but can't help wondering if he's been riding the wall a good few times. Not much hope of getting first back at the moment. I've upped the pace but don't think we have the hours left. Gutted.

Mine's doing the Le Mans one with the chicanes on the straight (can't remember if it's the 1st or 2nd 24 hr one) and is 12 hrs through and 3 laps ahead
I've got him using the NISSAN R92CP Race Car '92 and he seems (so far) to have avoided the wall plouging, which he did frequently in the Formula one car. I think my B Spec points are around 6500 or so. The car is running on Super Hard Racings at the back at Hard at the front. Don't know if that's any help....

Came in Second to the Mazda by 1 '32. The Nissan you're in now was 3 laps down. Same tyre choice, front and back red and out of fuel every stop. 10 more stops than the Mazda. Gutted. My B-Spec points were just over 7000 and are now 7100.
I'm letting the F1 car win the Fuji 1000 now to make me feel better.

But the Nissan in your race probably wasn't tuned to 1100+ bhp
Now up to 4 laps ahead and going steady..... Only 10 or so hours left My front tyres are only ever dark yellow when I pit. I think the car is pitting about every 4 laps, but still slowly making a lead all the time.
Have you decided to work your way through [I]all/[I] the endurances now? I wondered about doing that, but feel I'm missing out on actually driving some of the races

I've just checked and I win the car your using in the race I'm in now, so will give it a crack once this one is finished.
Yup, doing them all, it means I can get on with other stuff like watching the GP and housework and still feel like I'm playing, also good for the credits.

LOL I'm currently tidying up too whilst it's carrying on for me. Means it's taking longer for me to reach day 694 but at least I'm gaining percentage whilst it's going.
Better get back into the loft now

Now in the same car as you. I tuned it up to 1200bhp and stretched the gearing out a little. Took 3 laps to get the lead but he's pulling away nicely now. Only another 23hrs and 45mins to go. Plenty of time to go shopping

Dont bother buying them there are other cars you can win in the endurance races which are better,I bought the Toyota GT-1,and the Nissan in the late 90's dealer and there not really that good, eveen when tuned. The other 2 are in the early 90's dealer are another Nissan and a Mazda 767B(?) the green and orange one from GT-3.Do the el captain endurance race and you get a Mintola Toyota which when tuned is very quick and should win all the modded endurance races. The 4 race cars come on day 694 and if I recall the 2 late 90's cars are 1.9 mil each and the other 2 were 1.2 mil. Some of the touring cars can be won quite easily to,try to get these first.
