It ought to be OK; PROVIDING you're not getting more than 400 / 400 The we might have a warranty issue if it broke.

We have a number of 2.5's running around on them - no trouble so far.

OK guys thats 5 so email me a phone number dob@apiengines.com where we can reach you all on Tuesday 31st and we'll ring and get card details and ship out ASAP.

There might be a days delay while I get some light flywheels machined but the clutches are all in stock waiting to go. Of course all clutches and flywheels will be shipped as sets rather than one bit at a time.

Please note the comments earlier about the 50 quid deposit pending the collection and return of your original flywheel. We'll take a charge against your card and then once you have the old flywheel ready to collect we'll arrange collection [ at our cost ] and as soon as an Impreza flywheel arrives here we'll refund the deposit. No surcharges - no Bulls**t.

Thanks guys have a good weekend, don't get too sunburnt [ or rusty!]

Rediculous service.....

I've just had a knock at the door with a sodding heavy parcel.....

I wonder what that might be then!!

Thanks David, couldn't have asked for better service, all I need to do now is my gearbox swap, so that I can get the flywheel back to you.

Question

Hi,

Interested in clutch and flywheel but short of cash this month :-(

Does it have to be a group of 5 buying before you get discount?

The goods arrived today, usual extra day for Isle of Man post.

Will be fitting in 3 weeks so flywheel should be ready to go back end of June.

Great deal.

Cheers.

Beg, borrow or steal the dough and l'll get you in on this one !! RB5108 seems to have disappeared out of the first 5, which is a bit of a let down, so we will be happy to get you sorted if you can find the money.

Even so, we seem to be able to find 5 just about every month so perhaps it'll become a regular thing. After all, the only time a clutch is needed is when there's something wrong. It's not as if you'd buy one for the sake of it; like mudflaps or sidelights or something.

It's what the advertising world calls a distress purchase..........

Call me if you want or keep a watch out for another GB later in the month.

Good luck David APi Engines / APi Impreza

PS thanks Dave.K for the business, we're Ok to wait till your flywheel comes back - after all - we' got yer 50 quid !!

Question Me Too?

David will this be suitable for an STI7 going the 2.5 route, and is it possible / worthwhile lightening the 6 speed flywheel?

That's a bit of a difficult one Jake. If you drive around a city and change gear a lot then maybe 2/3 days or say 100 miles - if you just flog up motorways then maybe a week.

It depends upon how many times you change gear really.

I can't really offer a satisfactory answer.

Kind regards David

Cheers David,

Exedy site states 600miles but then they would!, I live in London so 200 miles should be about right then.

Sorry, been busy today and just doing mails etc. now.

The Exedy organic off the group buy is £250.00 plus VAT the lightweight flywheel is £120.00 plus VAT exchange. The carriage is £14.00 plus VAT.

We take a £50.00 deposit from you until the old flywheel comes back which is IMMEDIATELY refunded as soon as the flywheel gets here. [ We pay for the cost of returning the flywheel ]

So a whole set up with the flywheel is £ 451.20 inc VAT to your door with a refundable £50.00 added.

The current deal is over and you need to find four more people to take part in another GB.

Thanks and kind regards

my Exedy clutch is now handling 1.55bar out of a td05/18g without so much of a slip or a whiff.
When I first fitted it, the bite point was a little "hungry", but I managed to take a bit of that out on the pedal and it was happy days

(from David of course)

all this free publicity, you'd think I was after a keen price on a set of uprated rods and pistons for a 2.0L CDB
