just had a quick read thru the posts, and for my two pence worth -

for all the times ive met up with you guys, i can only applaud you ...

your meets are well planned, you drive sensibly ...and to round it off, you're a grerat bunch of lads.

im guessing i missed something, on the last wales run ...but hey, for the part i was involved in....... ive still got a grin on my face.....twas quality.

in line with the thread tho, as you know ive organised a few meets myself, and in the back of your mind is always the 'what if'?? question...... what if someone gets pulled, what if someone goes off, and gets hurt, what if someone writes their car off...etc ....i'll be honest, in my mind, ive always felt, that if that happened i couldnt hide from feeling - 'if i hadnt of organised it, it might not of happened' . you can only hope that the people that turn up are like minded to behave in such a way that reflects the mentality of the group .....but sadly it only takes 1 to mess it up.

anyway....long live the smacs.

Informal meets is what cumbria does and we are still together after 3 years and a hardcore of 20 cars

we have had discussions on membership cards /fees timetables ETC and nothing gets done !!

but we are all still here a decent website, active forum and we do some great runs out and of course the NBO

i look at the military organisation of the LADS and wonder on a direction

but we must be doing some thing right

TTS is another group im involved in with a 10 minute sermon by the gaffer and then casual chat to the cows come in and 130 members ++

no excuses. no money, no track time, simple.
and if anyone comes who owes you, they have to pay what they owe + the cost on the day before they get on the track. sorted.
let me know as soon as you've been able to get hold of the guy.
chris.
Agree with you there Chris, should have to pay up front before being on the track, makes sure Andy (or whoever organises) isn't out of pocket.

Need another Curborough day organising so I've got somthing to look forward to, so long as we can keep it to a tuesday or thursday as these fit in best with most people I believe.

Already looking forward to Curborough. I thought most people paid Andy up front for the day (ie at arrival at the track) but it looks like this isnt the case. Name and shame Andy, then send the boys round to collect!!
