Hi Andy.

It was an Autocar competition run last year. The prize was in 3 parts, one of which was to have the NSX for a week. I was meant to have one last September, but the 3 that Honda UK had on their fleet were all stuffed at about the same time. They offered me an S2000 instead, but I said I'd wait for an NSX to be available!

Bloody brilliant prize I'd say, dont blame you for waiting, s2000 vs NSX, no contest

Wink

Matt, I had a good look at the NSX at the coventry meet last weekend ( I was in white wagon ) and I have to say it was a car with alot of presence and a superb stance, macho but svelte, I'd have one tomorrow.

One observation that you may have noticed, both front and rear bumper covers were a completely different shade of red from main carriagework, did they have some sort of armour-cover on them?

Always been a fan of the NSX and indeed nearly took the plunge a few years ago until I did a "proper" HPi check.

How did you get it for 7 days then.................?

Skoosh.

psoctorwho.........**** off back to your bridge and play with Billy Evans.

Matt, did you say you lived in Leamington? I live in Warwick and also have a VTEC, i'm afraid it's only a DC5, I would love to try out na nsx though so if you ever get hold of one again pm me and I'll let you take the DC5 for a spin in exchange.

Was it the NSX Type R or standard NSX?

Pity about the headlights though. If I could afford a current one, I'd swap out the lights for some of the popup ones from the earlier cars.

Anyway,moving on...

Although I agree with Brendan about the looks I love what the NSX can do, and as an S2000 owner it does enter my head as the next step.

Glad you enjoyed it Matt

wow very nice Matt - had my eye on an NSX-R recently.
Just one of those cars I want to own before I die I suppose.

Nice job.

So I'm sitting in this Lambo in the middle of Marlborough (midnight ish) and a group of 8 or 9 people walk past, the women are all swooning and cooing over it and one of the blokes pipes up "oh yeah it's just some w@nker in a kitcar - probably got a VW Beetle engine - w@nker".

So I started it up and gave it a few blips.

Of course, then I was a "flash ****", the women liked it though.

Skoosh,

Know what you mean about the bumpers. Seems that the paint on plastic has a different shade to that on aluminium. No surprise there then! The other NSX's that I've seen have been the same. Wonder why Honda can't get it 100% right.

Cem,

NSX Type R! Lovely. I'd have one tomorrow if I could. I just don't think I'd fit in it! The standard car was just about OK, but the R has seats that intrude on headroom even more. You'd be OK though!

Mossman,

Thanks for the comment! Was a fantastic car.

I was driving one of these last night and thought it was pants. The Maranello I'd been driving in the previous rounds was far superior.

More Project Gotham 2 later

Seriously nice looking car mind
