Yes, go to GT Auto where you can change oil, wash car, buy wheels (new and 2nd hand) and buy a big silly rear wing.

Do you lot turn all the driver aids off then? Its a pain in the **** you have to do it manually for each new car

 

genrally yeah

although my caddilac thing with about 940bhp has traction control set to 3 and the anti spin set to 2 for under steer and over steer, as i find the control pad not quite as "subtle" as i would like to try and control the dam thing

the tracton control is still working in 4th and 5th gear
agreed with it being a pain for each car!

 

I think I *really* need to get a wheel to get the best from this game...

 

I'm new to the GT series and the PS2. Started playing last night and during a race you loose throttle and steering and if you apply full throttle it bounces between full and none. Even if I quit the reace and restart it does it again. Has the PS2 got a problem or is it a race penalty/car problem for crashing ?

If you crash your car, then the car is automatically put in 1st gear for 5seconds, you should still have steering though...

I'm assuming this is what you mean !!!

 

That only happens in the special section though? Not in normal races. Sounds like a different issue to me!

Mog, where did you get the Mazda touring car from? Managed to get about 8.2% through at the minute but my missus keeps moaning at me so I am not getting as much time on it as I would like!!

500bhp out of a M3 CSL is a bit, er, "twitchy" without the driving aids as well!! It doesn't seem to like corners very much!!!

 

Won it in one of the 'Special Event' races.. Think it was the medium Tsukuba race in the wet....

 

Haven't noticed that - is that in all races.

 

Now that Twigster has mentioned it, I have only noticed it on the Special Section races ( Those city walls are bloody narrow at times ) not sure if it does it on all the races.....!

 

It doesn't. Definitely not! I know as I have been stuffing walls all over the place with that bloody CSL!!!

 

I got myself a legacy to start with, shes a beauty! Also got the game for 99p, yes 99p!!! from Game, when you trade in 4 old games that are not football or wrestling related, so in went old Colin McRae's and WRC games.

also - in B-Spec, is it a case of the more you use it the better your driver gets? Cos mine's ******* w@nk at the minute - think he must have a phobia about overtaking

 

I take it you have actually turned on Overtaking mode by pressing triangle?

 

How do you change wheels? I have 2 sets of wheels for my scoob now but want to know how to put the others back on

 

I looked into this over on gtplanet.net and I don't think you can! Once you have swapped your wheels that is it, you only have the 1 set for that car..

 

you can have a diffrent set of wheels for diffrent tyre types, or do you want you standerd rims back on?

 

Has anyone found that when using the analog sticks and appplying lock the throtle cuts out, make oversteer immpossible and winning races very hard as most of the time i'm coasting around the corners, i'm finding it a real pain in the ***.

 

How much of an improvement is GT4 over GT3?

 

I'd forgot how hard it is getting golds on some license tests, got all silver on National B & A licenses and half way through International B, I've got a handfull of golds so far which I got straight away but damn some of the times seem impossible
