Got my PS2 from Ebay and GT4 Prologue so been playing that - just ordered my DFP Steering Wheel - can't feckin wait!!

The Cusco Advan Scooby in GT:P is great fun btw Grips like a ****!! But when you try the standard STI it drifts round corners a lot more...I thought the 4WD would make it grip more? Sorry I still have FWD in real life so not sure about 4WD handling My FTO is almost sold (again!) so a real WRX STi should be mine soon!

I pre-ordered from Gameplay. £29.99 plus £1 for 1st class post if you want it on release day. Didn't let me down with GTA:SA, received mine the day before release, hopefully GT4 will be the same

 

Just ordered mine too along with the Wheel frm there...I usually use Play.com so we'll see how well Gameplay do it

 

I ordered it from gameplay too - Also ordered MGS3 and if that arrives tomorrow I'll be a happy hippy .

 

Ohhh I had forgot all about MGS3, I preordered that before Xmas from Gameplay... fingers crossed for delivery tomorrow...

That will fill the gap nicely until GT4 next week.....

Best is apparently Driving Force Pro but its a bit steep at £90.

I was going to buy the £30 Logic 3 Top Drive GT4, which can be used on PS2 or Xbox, but just realised its a flat base, so you cant mount it anywhere

 

Amazon better the on the ball. I'll be gutted if I get it later than you lot !

 

From what I've heard - Amazon still haven't got all their US orders out and it was launched a week ago...

Just do what I'm going to do if it doesn't arrive on time - buy it from GAME, then take the one ordered back for a refund when it arrives - GAME give you 16 days to return stuff - opened or not.

Snake Eater is a cool game. Watch out for the sniper level - great fun!

Dont want to scare you, but the driving force pro they list on their site is the old model that used to be £60 RRP. The one with the blue wheel.

The new DFP is black/chrome and has a separate gear lever. I would check with them before they charge your card.

 

Oh God, not another "Lets bash PS2" thread

Got both machines and if I had to choose one it'd have "Sony" on it. Reason - better games. I enjoyed PGR2 but it just didn't grab me - Halo 2 is quite good online but the single player is just soooo slllllloooooowwwwww I got bored and went back to PGR2.

GT4 is the daddy of racing games - which means there'll always be someone trying to knock it off the top spot.

Got email saying my MGS3 was dispatched yesterday

 

I have both, and wouldnt have it any other way - good games on both machines, and tbh I never really notice the graphical differences between the 2. PS2 is slightly more grainy, but games are not all about graphics. I also prefer the PS2 controller

 

Thats ok cos xbox games Disapoint me when put next to my Alienware Area 51M laptop. Going through Rome Total War at the minute, And GTA Vice City at 1600x1200 on 16" tft is awesome.
