Anyone fancy camping over for NBO 3?
#92
NBO's crept up rather quickly Only 2 weeks to go!
Better put my name down on the camping list (someone's gotta make the salad )
Depending on work & home stuff on the Saturday, I'll either join in en route further north, or see you at the campsite

iirc Boomer, it was charcoal supplies i went in search of last time... and came up with the goods Will pack plenty this time.
Campsite shop holds all sorts, but don't expect warp speed service.... After a spirited drive up there.. enter the slow zone
My gazebo's storm damaged so 'fraid I can't bring that along
So Bill, DO bring yours
Lordharding's promised sunshine that weekend

Someone (who will remain nameless, just in case he gets stroppy and doesn't plan the route ) didn't screw his gas bottle to the stove properly. Faced with eating raw meat for dinner, in the dark, some gallant maiden risked life, limb and bank account to provide much needed warmth

if you want to be completely covered, bring along three disposable charcoal barbeques (one for the evening meal in case the pub is full, one for a midnight feast and one for breakfast), plus enough dead meat/turkey twizzlers/mixed allotment to satisfy your culinary needs.
It all ends up an ad-hoc affair, with different folks cooking at different times, typically with _far_ too much food so loads going spare.
Drinkswise it is similar (although use coolbags rather than barbeques for obvious reasons). Again, bring far too much beer - 'cos it is better to take some home than to run out at two am
Also, don't forget some soft drinks/water for when you wake up in the early hours with sandpaper stuck to your tongue!
You definitely want to purchase a camping chair, maybe a tartan rug, and bring a torch along 'cos it gets dark (and cold) at night.
Whatever you bring along, you are bound to have forgotten something - but that it all part of the fun
Cheers,
mb
p.s. I'll be in touch before the Saturday to agree the West Midlands meetup point.
