Charlie, 103 miles on third of a tank You wanna sort THAT out ya old git A full decat, VTA and white wheels should get you into the normal 110 miles per half tank

As if Mikee is gonna turn up and if he does manage, he'll turn up as we are leaving To come home

Seriously Mikee, need to know at least 7 days in advance in order to book the right sized pitch. They got the hump with me the last time cos I think it was Askew turned up un announced and caused a problem.........apparently

Thumbs up

I have one of the large disposable bbq's and a stand for it, it will hold 2 normal sized ones. We might need a couple of bricks to sit a couple more on whilst swapping the ones on the stand.

I should be bringing a fair bit of chicken and maybe a couple of other bits if I've got time to prep them. If somebody else wants to bring ribs or steaks or even fish and, if you really must, then burgers & sausages Those Piri-Piri Sausages were nice last time but I've not seen them on sale this year.

We could do with a few cobs, if someone wants to pick up a big pack?

A large pack of bacon for breakfast might be usefull for bacon cobs the morning after I will bring my gas griddle thingy as it's easier to cook on there.

Then there's snacks, water, asprins, kitchen roll, a few implements, ketchup, oh and don't forget matches.

We usually have too much food() as for beer, about a coolbox each usually works

Can you save a space for cw42 & family Mikey, sounds like he will have a big tent! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthrea...hlight=Camping

Also, is it Sleningford Mill that charges extra for gazebo's?

If there are only gonna be five cars driving up I might do what we did last year and have a 'flexible' route

Autoroute seems to think the route I planned is going to be a long day, so if I did full notes I might have to drive it to time it properly.

If it's just the five of us then we can just 'follow me' and drive about until the time runs out.

Mikey can you find out what time we have to be on site by? I reckon about 5:30 if that's ok?

We will need to be LEAVING the services at 10:30 though to make the most of it though.

Mark,

it is probably best to buy a new tent, rather than make do with an old one. If you need 4 spaces, two twins would probably be cheaper. Have a browse around:

Blacks (who have just opened a new Tamworth store at Ventura today - 15% off!)
Millets (two-up starter inc bags and mats for fifty notes)
Oswald Bailey (a four-up for GBP47!)

...for ideas. And as you suggest, Argos, Woolworths, that new big place in Coventry etc. also have some bargains. The campsite is sheltered, so no need for Everest grade stuff

Most of the attendees are from the East Midlands, so we would just slip up the A38 to the start - maybe meet up just outside Lichfield, or Maccy Dees at Bassetts Pole.

We just give the site a number of attendees, and you pay your fees on arrival (thus we need confirmed numbers up front). The camp is excellent and secure.

Mark,

the Argos Pro Action 4 person tent starter kit (cat no 340/9158) is on sale at eighty quid at the moment (at least according to a leaflet in the papers). Make sure you get the cheap one

We (the whole group) will meet North of Derby on the Saturday morning, have a drive, camp on the Sat night, attend NBO then back home again (whether separate or as a group). I'll be heading Lancashire way on the Sunday, so will not be joining any return convoy.

Cheers,

mb
