Just don't shout at them like you keep shouting at us, unless you want to suffer the consequences of irritating a police officer.

Can I establish something here:

Did I just see someone posting on this message board openly admitting to perverting the course of justice, a crime carrying a maximum sentence of life imprisionment, and detailing the exact nature of their crime?

A message board on which there are not infrequent posts from serving police officers as well. Hmmmm. I wonder what the moderation policy is on admitting to such a serious crime on a public forum? Certainly an entertaining way to spend an evening.

There are certainly ligitimate defences to the NIP which is sent out for speeding but you will need a pretty top notch legal team to get you off perverting the course of justice after admiting it in public. They might just go for obstructing but keep us informed.

That is what the shift key is for, you hold that down at the same time as you press the letter you want capitalising.

In the meantime, I can't be arsed to post a helpful reply to your original question, just point out that they'll also do you for failing to inform DVLA that you moved.

i was caught speeding, 68 on a 50 stretch of dual carriage way. I thought it was a 70.

Joined at the junction, was filmed before the 1st speed sign to tell me 50mph.

They sent the letter, i sent one back and said "Sorry, I disagree"

They sent one back saying "tough titty"

I sent one back saying "not good enough"

They claimed the B-road had a sign to say 50 comming up, but the road i was on was an intersection that carried on, over the dual carriage way. thus i thought the DC was a 70.

Whether i was right or wrong, if your busted your busted, if you disagree, take it to court and have a good reason for doing so.

I've heard nothing in over a year.

It certainly looks that way. Admittedly, I'm not sure about legal implications, as can anyone prove that it was actually the accused that posted the above comments?

Anyway, look on the bright side, there is no caps lock key in prison, and by the time he gets out, keyboards will be obsolete.

Dang, Hedgehog you beat me too it, i was totting up the offences, would do my P.I's a hell of a lot of good, (P.I's, the stick they beat us with, basically how many arrests, Hort1's. fixed penalties, stop searches etc we do a month. Yes we are targetted!!)

I spotted, Pervert the course of justice, Speeding, failure to provide evidence of change of address, the list goes on.

As for the 6 month rule this is a common misconception. Yes we have 6 months to put the paperwork in but if it takes longer to find someone to serve the summons tough!!

As for warrants, in my force, GMP we act on ALL warrants, I would suggest not acting on one would be a neglect of duty.

Lets hope the Police E-mail tracking system wasn't switched on for this one?

Or it could have been a total wind up to get a bite in which case i'll get back in the reeds!!!
