All the people who own the OLD model are bound to say the OLD shape looks better!
When I saw the new shape clio I thought that was bad,but as I've seen it more its grown on me and it makes my Williams look dated.
I'll wait until I see one in the flesh.

Listen pslewis i am not going to get into a childish argument over this, its just a matter of personal preference. I happen to think that it may look better once on the road. It will certainly tan most current models thats for sure. All im saying is don't knock it until you have seen it in the flesh/metal. Ok i agree that the styling of the lights are a bit radical looking but the current lights in my opinion are to small also, besides the rest of the styling is way better. Move on!!!!
Scrappy.

Let's face it - The car will look good with a mean body kit, but that WRX is just plain old vanilla. However... once you're sat in the driver's seat all exterior looks are forgotten. The car is bound to go like the clappers as Subaru certainly know their internals. It's just a shame that you have to walk up to the car to get there.

Whilst the Mazda looks good, it also looks dated compared to the new Scooby (which you may or may not find ugly). Also, who's to say the Mazda will be any good? Does it have the rally pedigree that helped turn the Scooby into such a complete drivers car over the last 7 years? I think not.
Like I said, you may find the new one ugly, but hey, it's the new model, and hence more up to date. My own feeling is that, a year or two down the line, when the skirts and spoilers have been designed to match, the new model will certainly look the part.
As for the old models increasing in value, has that EVER happened? I think not.
Only in cases where a model line has been discontinued, a la Escort/Sierra Cosworth, and Fiesta Turbo etc.
Couple that with the fact, that just about everyone who hasn't only recently bought their car, and a few who have, are getting rid of them now, the values will be driven hard into the ground.
No, me thinks it's business as usual, the new model will arrive and eventually be just as sought after.
IMHO

I think they could dress the Legacy up in some new clothes and feed it an engine with more grunt and hey presto a new WRC car.
There again, maybe not.
