MAF = Mass Air Flow
Air Flow Sensor = MAF
Air Flow Sensor = Air Flow Meter
ALL ARE THE SAME THING
The MAF comprises of 2 things (basically) - the housing and the actual sensor.
The whole item is about £200 (IIRC)
The sensor (to put inside the housing) is about £80.

having same problem on my00 so fitted a boost gauge and 22psi peak and drops like lead to 10psi so mines a boost problem maybe an actuator or air leak having it looked at asap wait till you get your gauge before spending more money m8 over boosting will blow out your spark out and cause a missfire even more if the plug gaps are to big
