I've just registered on the rogue cz site and spelt my fekin username wrong...DOH

 

After 2 years of herding cats, these days I just pay my subs use the tag and server and thats it don't activly partake in matches very hard to motivate self for 1.6, may pick up matches when we update to CSS.

I feel Im entitled to still use the tag seeing as I was one of the three founding fathers many many moons ago

yes, copy the numbers, then when you open source and you are looking at the list of servers, click on add server (there is an option for this somewhere) maybe under favourites, I am not at my home pc so I wil double check tonight, click paste, then add that server the favourites and you will be able to find it each time in that heading.

Twas a fun few rounds, I must admit that guy did lack style when he didn't knife the last CT defusing the bomb! if you fancy some 1:1 knife or pistol practice then I'll be happy to oblige

In my defence, That was my first time playing source and it was my first few rounds in over 2 months so I was a little rusty.

lol get that all the time, people go onto servers thinking they are the nuts and when I hand their *** back to them they call me a cheat.

There is no secret to it, once you play a map enough you know where the hiding places are, the m4 and ak shoot through doors so if you see them you can shoot them, walk when you get to corners so you can hear them coming.

But to be fair they were dumb last night, they kept going for Long A and a couple went short A, so as soon as you dispatch short you can come behind them.....

It boils down to people believing they are the best but when they walk onto a server with decent players they cant handle it.

Keep an eye on that server SJ, as I tend to venture there most of the time.

Should be on tonight from about 6pm to 8pm ish, as I have football tonight at 9

 

I might get on for an hour about 6ish, going snooker later in the evening so will be an early 1 for me, cant gaurentee I'll get on though.

 

I normally have to leave it on auto retry for 5 minutes at the most then I am in, getting plenty of random crashes with my pc so have to rejoin a few times.

 

I'm still on the train at 6!! gym tonight anyway

There was some numptyish playing, I would also add that it makes a MASSIVE difference if you play as a team and stick together and keep your momentum. A team bogged down will get wiped out, likewise a team not playing as a team will get wiped out.

I know my problem, I just get brave and rush ahead. Sometimes get lucky and get the other team 1 or 2 at a time which isn't such a bad thing. The best advice I reckon is have a copy of 1.5/1.6 and practice with headshot only and bot mods. it improves your aiming no end. Also long range AK/M4 shooting, single shots and lining up before shooting.

I have had a look at jolts servers

for a 16 man server (if we did organise a 10 man clan or something), with admin mods for £36 each for a year.

Not a bad price really, then we could do matches and all get onto a decent server as and when we wanted.

Is anyone interested in this?

 

b33f.co.uk will do the same server 16 man for 310 per year, 31 each split by ten.

do we have 10 snetters interested in starting a clan, nothing too serious, enter a league or two and have some fun?

 

Oi shall have a ponder because I can gaurentee that the minute I say yes and hand over the loot I will find myself on a year long project in the back of beyond living out of a hotel room with no CS!

 

dunno im interested in joining a clan but the thing is Im joining www.clantug.com if you have a look you'd have nowt to pay, there are only me and AK really who play CSS at the mo there so if you lot sign up there and becoming a TuG clan member then yeah we'd all be part of scoobynet but we'd be using a different clan name. nothing to pay for either as the servers are all there already????

Dave my XFire is just plain toodle.

For anyone else not using this program id recommend it, just add in your friends and if there on a server it takes you straight to there server without cut/pasting ips.

Went on that server Fitz but couldnt stay on long and obviously missed you guys.....hope to catch some of you on sometime for a scooby bashing

Doesnt sound a bad idea, the only real bonus with having your own server is the fact that, you can have admin commands, sort the server out immediately if it plays up, set the maps you want to play.

I dont think that any new clan will throw out admin commands to any new people just like that?

Its just an idea really, seeing if there were any takers - spent ages playing in prem league clans, would enjoy getting together with a group of decent people not just css ghosts, for regular matches together.

fitz, AK is a well known member there (he posts here regually) also since that site I posted none of them lot play CSS just AK and he's getting all the admin commands so we can use that server however we like????????
