There will be an update very shortly, I spent the best part of 5 hours cleaning the car with a clay bar today and now I have come in to work for a rest
:
Tomorrow, if my arms are up to it I may wash it again and start applying the polish.....it's looking good

That was brilliant

And that was when my car was....well kinda quiet
There must have been what 20 scoobs driving into the NCP. Anyone with a car alarm was doomed that day

Who's got the louder exhaust then?
Well the minute you have all been waiting for......Yesterday I had the first oil change after nearly completing a 1000 miles so I needed to be a Barretts early as I was picking JGM up at lunch time. I was a little delayed while Phil gave the car a good once over and took it for a test drive
12:10 the car was given a clean bill of health so off I went to meet God, the man that was going to give me a 7k limit and 1.3 bar of boost
the journey started from the services on the M20 at 01:30 after the wide band and the laptop had been fitted/powered up. Let the fun begin - the journey up to Gainsborough was a pain in the ****, the M25 was fine the M1 was a nightmare every couple of miles the traffic would stop for no reason
it took us over 7 hours to get to Maffa's. It was 9 o'clock pitch black and in the middle of no where and we still needed to map his car. I got a tour of the mansion while Simon got to work fitting the avcr, nice house, it just needs the pitter patter of little feet now PMSL (Matt a daddy)
10 o'clock - Matt sits behind the wheel like a little boy with a new toy, he starts the engine......big grin, and we’re off. An hour into the mapping and the boost and fuelling was looking good, 1.4 bar :wow: and then the FMIC throws a jubilee clip and off comes the samco pipe, middle of no where and no spares. Back we go to Matt's off boost to fix the problem; the neighbours must have loved us last night. 20 minutes of tinkering and we're back in the car pulling out of the close at about 1130 the map was nearly done when the pipe popped off so we continued to raw up and down the road 2 minutes from his house, this was done in a controlled manner - pedal to the floor with a big
By Midnight I was a little concerned about getting home for the Mrs as she was due in work at 04:45 this morning
We finished Matt's car about 00:15, so it was all hands on deck to change the laptop and wideband over to my car.
We said our goodbye's and set off for home but we needed petrol, sh1te, middle of no where early hours of the morning I thought this was going to be a problem. We turned the corner and hey presto, a Tesco's, but no 99ron so it was a splash and dash to the services over on the A1. the A1 at 1 o'clock was great no slow moving vehicle's so was able to get the peddle to the floor, OMG a tweak of the map and we're nearly hitting 1.4 bar, big big grin factor, the exhaust on full throttle is awesome (and I wont be changing it just yet
) at every roundabout the car was put through it's pace's 1st 2nd 3rd oh sh1te where's the road going it was like this all the way to the M11/M25. At the Dartford toll we paid our £1, barrier lift's I'm off 1st 2nd 3rd 4th best slow down as the car in front was getting closer and closer and had no intension of moving over. TBC I've just got to do something (I'm at work back shortly)
I'll finish the post later, I've been catching up on sleep over the last couple of days.

I'll be very interested to see how well mine does on the rllers in a couple of weeks coz I hit 1.4bar on the way to Lincoln today

I do have to say a huge thankyou to Bryan & Simon. I know you had to put a few hundred more miles on the clock for a proper map but driving 250 miles to mine was just crazy...brilliant...but crazy
Especially with all the stop-off's, traffic etc... meaning you didn't leave mine until 12.30ish

Big thankyou to Simon as well for being stuck in a car for probably half a day with Bryan...mate you're a better man than me

Then for putting what I can only describe as an immaculate map on my car in the pitch black & pouring rain. BTW I still owe you £40 so if you let me know your bank details i'll do a transfer
Bryan,
Did I hear rightly that after we were hoaring up and down the dual carriageway in my car last night you actually got pulled over on the way home because someone complained & they then thought it was you?

PMSL.
Once again a big thanks to both of you for making yourselves probably the most tired people on the planet today

Tarts the lot of ya! Not that I'm jealous or anything
Seriously getting itchy feet about modding the Accord, but modding Honda's is a little too ricey I think, guess I'll have to wait for the S4.

looks like an old picture to me.. the red wire I added is not in it and nor is the AVCR boost solenoid.. lol
I must say it did feel weird adding black pipes for boost control as I knew that within a couple of days they would be removed and replaced with red ones.. lol
Does look good.. if a little tarty.. although nothing compared to that chrome and yellow one your other half used to own.
Simon
PS: what happed to the under tray on the bonnet above the turbo????

Si,
I wish I had some red hose mate...but not yet
The air intake for the turbo from the scoop used to flow into the open topped heat shield to cool it but over time the heat shield got out of line with it & started scraping at it. Oh well no need to worry about that now as the heat shield kinda got in the way of the FMIC pipework
Yeah the other scoob was nice, but hey we needed a practical car as well & it just had to go
Mind you if Jen has her way she'll have her 4th car in 10 months before long as it looks like a Mini Cooper S might be on the cards

I'm back online, been off work for nealy a week
feeling much better now). Where was I, oh yeah it's fecking quick and got back saturday morning with five minutes to spare before she went to work. That left me in the dog house for a couple of days but since then I have made it up to her, dont ask, it cost me a couple of quid hence I'm in on OT today
I've sorted out some pictures so will post them tonight, all the defi's are now wired in, the knock amd lambda are in place and working, the sti strut brace fitted, the cusco 4 point lower still needs to be fitted (next week maybe) I have been offered some JIC coilovers for not a lot of money......has anyone had these fitted to there car? I'm looking at changing the exhaust and may be tempted to take up the offer from Simon with the HKS, it's quieter on tickover but sounds awesome on boost.
The car goes into the bodyshop on 23rd november to have the rear bumper sorted, door handles cc and the stone chips done on the bonnet, wings and mirrors oh and to have the V5 front bumper fitted
**** me best do OT LOL
Pictures to be be posted later
