Thanks guys.
FTD was an awsom 39.something, and as the track had just been re-surfaced , the result was good.
Bloody slippy in the fastest parts!

Have to say. the car is really really really fast, but there is so much more to come.
The various pic/video's all show it so 'on rails' it's untrue.

Great car, cr@p driver, but the fleet of 45 911 competitors tugged at my roots, the 911 is just so cool.

Andy! I will soon need more power, ie, the boost holding 1.4 all the way, but for now I can glow in the result.

As ever, thanks to all the people who have got me here!
Wish my tick-over prob would go away!

What a car.

Graham.

The TVR crunch looked worse than it was, just a crumpled corner and a rear bodywork job.
It was great to be very close to bettering the fast Audi quattro, I very nearly beat him. It has 600 bhp....

Pity I missed you all in the meeting, but later in the year?

The 48.48 left me with shaking hands....just such a buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Graham, If you're stuck for an answer, I'll pop up for you to swap some bits from my car, if you think it'll help eliminate things.

Gerry, thanks for that offer, especially when you are so far away.
I have decided to fix the bugger once and for all by mechanically over-riding the valve, and set the cable tension to 1100 rpm which will fool the valve.
It only does it when cold/semi warm, the revs only just hold tick-over and threatens to die, after 2 mins it's ok!

something not resetting in the valve I think.

Thanks again!

Graham.

Graham, I have a diagnostic check sheet on .pdf for the engine sensors if it's any help to you. Let me have your email and I'll send it to you.

Cheers

Don't have a digi video!
The bloke with the 480 bhp Evo5 has broken his ankle 2 months ago..
The 2nd (young) bloke with 600 bhp Evo5 (2.2 litre etc) is a full 10 seconds slower than me, which is very strange, but he really drives it strangely too.

The killer is the 450 bhp A4 1.8 turbo which is rampant on the circuits at present, built and driven by Keith Murrey of Dialynx, and then I will be stuffed

I'm making hay while I can.

Graham.

Excellent result Graham, well done. It does justice to the effort you've put in to the car

Diagnostic check sheet? That'll be nice to have just in case, if it's available to me as well

I can't wait for my car to be mapped as its very hard to resist taking it out for a blast...

Hi Floyd,

I'm sure you must already have all the info available on the net. I couldn't remember where I got it from yesterday but had a good look today and it's Chris Palmer's site here:

Graham,

Are you at Barbon next weekend (14th) or are you at the one on June 18th?

Yep, at Barbon on the Sat and Harewood on the Sunday.
Father in law is seriously ill, so just might not be there, all depends....

If it all happens be glad to meet you.

Hope that he's ok and that you get to play. Perhaps you can let me know nearer the time.

Look forward to seeing a Scooby used in anger, and I'll have the (digital)camcorder with me too. Will be a long day, got to go to a party with the other half friday night and it's a 500 mile round trip!!

Graham,

Have you got a timetable for the day?

Could do with knowing when the practice runs start (presuming that you get such things!) and when the actual event kicks off.

thanks

Doing the Barbon/Harewood this weekend.
Sadly father in law didn't make it, but that's nature taking control.

Barbon is early start, especially after a party like that!
Practice will start about 9.30am.
I'm runner No 49 so expect to be on track about 10 ish.
Racing for real will be in the afternoon, just 2 runs to do.
I'm up against some big TVR's and suchlike as they've merged the road going class with the big sports racers
The EVO's are in a sparate class ()

Never been there before so will be interesting!

Yikes!!

Graham.
