Not yet Martin. Really should go and fetch it down but I'm a lazy ****** Got loads of stuff to shift, telly etc. Will get round to it eventually
Only 12, Mick. You slacker
Anyone know, can I stick a floodlight thing on the front of the house? Was only thinking 150/300w halogen. Not sure if it's allowed, just after her mother's car getting broken into, my cctv camera's are going up. Wanted something with motion sensors to provide a bit of extra light at night.

I have mine wired up to a 2 way 2 gang switch and if you switch it off and straight back on it stays on until you switch it off.Switch off and leave for 5 seconds then switch it back on only comes on when PIR is activated.

It's more the fact that theres a main road/bus route on the door step so to speak. Not sure if there's any legislation against it.
Not really arsed if there is, I'll put one up anyway. Me being the highly qualified electrician (bodger) that I am.

you can put lighting up but save yourself some hard earned cash and fit one of these 70w lights iv got one and its realy bright , had a quick search and the ones i could find were slighty more than i payed but thats what you want ,just run it through a timer to turn off and on easy as abc and a excellent deterrant. because there cheap to run you just leave it on through the hours of darkness for mr burglar.
check the web site for ref only .(2nd one down id the kiddy )

Will also be putting one to cover the back garden, so maybe double switch time. I think I should be able to put one of them in Can't be that hard.

My 500w floodlight lights up three house's over the road approx 25yds away, you can actually get a visit from somebody about light pollution, only if someone complaines. My neighbours have never complained and mine is pir activated dusk till dawn. The woman over the road has actually told me the floodlight lights up the whole bedroom. But they also see it as a security measure for them so they know somebody is about. There should not be a problem with the main road/bus route,as i think it will not shine directly into the drivers eyes and blind them.

I'll be directing the light so it doesn't cover to much past the cars, so shouldn't be too much of a problem then. No houses directly opposite, so hopefully no complaints to be had.
