I heard that it could be Damon Hill??

I'll 2nd that
Oh FFS, like Damon Hill really needs the money and has nothing better to do with his time than show C-list celebs how to drive.

It's whoever is available at the time of the filming from a list of drivers, which is the reason you never see their face.

Perry McCarthy did most of the black stig, Nicolas Minassian also did some.

Mate's a crew member on TG and he says they use several Stig's - all depends on who's avail for the shoot day - makes sense really as they get no glory and what with F1 schedules !

Of course pls dont let this cat out the bag as it makes a slight mockery of the >adopts deep breathy Clarkson statement making type voice< laptime list (worse then the weather itself!)

Surely these are ex-F1 drivers....in which case, why would they be soooooo busy. I can see the logic in having multiple drivers though.

My God You too have relished in the gastronomic delights of an Awful Awful burger. How mental are they? I lived there between 1988 and 1993. Havn't been back since 1997 so I'm sure a lot of eating has changed. S'pose better keep thread on topic

Earlier this year I got taken as a passenger in ex-works Mcrae motor (about that era) owned and run by Gary Adams. It was practice runs on the press day before the Mcrae stages in Dunkeld. Now, I've got an '03 STi PPP and drive it quite hard but it doesn't make me almost **** myself like the run in that car did that day! Have a picture of it somewhere if you like.

Not unless your mate's is the one in the Coventry Museum. It's still a goer, and it gets let out occasionally. Unlike my namesake :-(

Diesel has it right, friend of friend in motoring journalism, cant believe anyone thinks it is always the same person. Keep the pretence of one identity up to maintain the mystique and intrigue, this and other threads they love to see and prove their point too.

LOL, I can't beleve some of the bitching about these drivers. To even get to the fringes of F1 is a feat very few people make.

I don't see why the stig couldn't be someone really famous, it looks like a good fun job.
