That should = 'zero back pressure' = instant spool up?
How come us hill climbers have to be under 110 dB or we don't race and you can run open header?
My 911 on open pipes clocks 108 dB

Use a small head cold chisel with a decent hammer, it will come off easy..

I did my 93ra rally car in a few hours...If you then clean up the residue with a cloth and white spirit, it will come up like new..

I put all of the removed sound deadening in a carrier bag and weighed it..
couldnt believe the result!! nearly 10kg

good luck

Sounds like a great project but beware of the weak rear diff if running RWD! I run a Rover200 RWD rally car, 240Bhp N/A VX XE engine, broke the R160 4.44:1 LSD diff several times and also a couple of shafts have sheared off. Suggest you at least upgrade to a R180 and associated uprights & shafts for RWD use. Otherwise graft in a 9" Cossy diff! (like I did in the end on the Rover)

OK CHAPS WE HAVE BEEN SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BUSY

car ais now welded up, caged, seat and harness in, intercooler inside the car, power steering taken off and replaced with electric one out of renault clio, 2 to 1 ratio steering gear fitted, now TWO WHEEL DRIVE, ABS moved into the car, brake line locks fitted (SO WE CAN LOCK THE FRONT WHEELS AND LIGHT UP THE REARS TO WARM THE TYRES UP) ebc brakes and green stuff pads, HKS front piupe fitted and no other exhaust pipe, nice set of VW VR6 alloys, dump valve, variable boost control, quick shift gear change

WILL POST SOME PICYS UP LATER

problem is now we have taken all the excess weight out the rear springs are toooooooo hard

does any one know the poundage of the spiring and / or any one who mite have some softer ones

or the sport one softer ???????

ADVISE APPRECIATED
