No, but I'd be willing to bet that more men do it than women. ISTR hearing somewhere that there are far far more single men than women in the 30-40 age bracket (something like a 70/30 split) I net you the rest of them aren't single because they're being shagged by the married men.

It's partially genetic.. for the male of the species's (and I'm talking about when we were apes and cavemen here before anyone accuses me of being sexist!) DNA to do best, he needs to impregnate as many females as possible. For the female of the species DNA to do best she needs to make sure the cubs actually survive, possibly managing to keep the father to herself to assist with this.

I know I would be / have been etc - so its is very very wrong...

You cant be given proper advise from us on here as to how to handle it because we dont know enough about the couple / your relationship with them etc...
