Exactly. The Agriemach stuff came through the Gruppe S header Group Buy by Chrome so we all got a 10% discount. I think you have found the cheapest stuff.

I'll give it a go. I think it was Pavlo who stapled some 50mm strips together to form a 'semi hemisphere' of the stuff and wired it to the hot side...seems a bit Blue Peter to me.

My preferred route is to bolt the turbo to the uppipe and wrap them both off the car, that way you insulate that big ugly top flange area as well.

There are rule changes (Blue Book/MSA) that demand a full 6 point roll cage is fitted (this MIGHT also apply to Speed Events, ie Drag Racing too)
This has scared the pants off 2 of them. Cutting carpet tut tut.

The main push will be for more power, 3 years ago 350 bhp was 'normal', then 400, now 450, and I think it will be 450/500. Remember this is meant to be a Road Going Class, but some now trailer the cars.
Grip is equal to bhp.
Avon hill climb slicks are needed, but if you have 17'' wheels (for the big brakes) then the soft compound is not available. Seeing as I race on 16'' this is where I can use the grip, BUT, the gearbox question arrives again.
I will keep the Kumho's for the start of the season with the Sti 5 speeder and hope the 'mega engine' wont kill it too early in the season.

Some of us are well p*ssed-off that slicks are allowed on the Road class. We are meant to be road, MoT/Tax etc so road tyres should be the standard, hence 1B tyres, Kumho Dunlop etc.

Difficult to do it all, but I bet the EVO will raise the game or leave the class.

Floyd, it's made by Zero Sports. I'm considering taking some measurements and improving on it a little. Not sure it will clear my tilt kit atm.

When i fitted my 'home ported' cast manifolds on the Sti, i didn't really notice any difference (but it can't do any harm), hence going to Gruppe S.
As to the TMIC scoop I would be very interested to the low car speed benefits, ie to 50/60 mph of the lead scoop.
Getting a large airflow to the Sti8 TMIC lloks to be hard unless you start with a f/glass bonnet and start cutting.....

Hey Russ. Now if you had a website then i'd know exactly where to go. Jamie from H1 Performance was delighted with his for the cost of an AVC-R. And no, you're not seeing double.

Going to use jubilees to tie the ends off Graham. I read the psot where you said you used 45m, i did however forget to calculate in the fact that i don't need to wrap my cast headers individually as per tubular ones. It all seems a bit of a waste on cast headers tbh, inclined to go Megan/GT Spec/Gruppe S atm.

Andy, that is why the CT gauge is to be first in. Also hope to test the functionality of the tilt kit.

 

Just mapped a WRX bugeye running a TD05 on Megan headers yesterday and it was the earliest spooling TD05 car I've come across ! 1 bar by 2800rpm, normally its around 3000rpm on the GT Spec or Gruppe-s.
