I was there yesterday, didn't do the strip, (my Scoob's too new!) but I must say there were some lovely looking Scoobs both on the track and in the car parks! Classics, bugeye's, new shape's, 22B's, P1's, RB5's, all looking really good! Did you see that yellow Beetle? That was mental, looked very quick!

1st time out at a 1/4 mile, was feeling dead cocky but due to a crap start only managed a 14.5 @ 100.4mph on my first, and got beat by a 200sx.
Confidence severely knocked I was gutted when I was up against a sweet looking MR2 with a huge tailpipe on my 2nd run. Thought I was gonna get pasted.
However... I managed to nail the start this time and was pulling away from him all the way, got a time of 13.6 @ 99mph
With a big grin on my face and cockiness fully restored I was looking for something decent to race on my last go, looked like getting a red scoob which would have been fun, but ended up with a mk1 crx
Thought I'd kick his ***, and was more bothered about getting a good time. Major **** up on the line though and he was well away. Thought I was gonna get beat again but once the revs finally got going, I was catching the CRX all the way and passed him a few hundred yards from the line, but only managed a 14.9 @ 100mph.
Had a great day and I'm looking forward to the next one to try and do a bit better!

@brun
it was me that was knackered mate. got the boat back to belfast last night @ midnight and got home at 2.45am. its a long old drive from northampton to belfast Car never missed a beat and was sadly let down by the driver. crap launches but my terminals i believe were the best of the day for a subaru at 114mph.

feel free chap - steal away, part of the reason I put them up really. I believe I have got a small video clip of one of you runs aswell (would have to double check to be 100%), but as I don't have broadband and the file is about 7Mb it would cost me a fortune to upload it. Sorry! PM me with an e-mail address and I'll see if I can do it round a mates house next time I am there! can't promise but within a couple of weeks is feasible!
Glad a couple of you have also found your cars amoungst them.

Hi everyone.
Andy from Sumo here.
Had a fab day on Sunday running the GTR, everything ran well however I was also watching the GC8's and GDB's run the strip especially this time around.
We have just bought a GC8 as a base car for next year, many parts are here already and many on the way from Japan.
We are hoping to build a nice allrounder with a strong engine as we havent touched a Scooby yet...until now.
Hope to roll out the car early next year if possible although we are not sure what to make the car good for, time will tell I guess.
A GDB is also on the cards for next year however its a pipe dream for now due to budget maybe...
Cheers all, see you next time...

Bloody hell!! Andy Barnes himself posting on here!! Now we should feel honoured!!
Andy, nice to hear you are having a go at a scoob, should be very interesting to see how you get on given some of your previous efforts.
