Default Fuel line octane booster

Hi all

Seen this octane booster in japanese performance mag that you basically just fit in your fuel line and it ups the octane of standard unleaded to 99ron.

Has anyone tried it or use it even? If it actually works tidy it would be a nice little £60 to spend!!!!!

Like all miracle remedies, I'd imagine if it worked all the manufacturers would be fitting them.

fuel cat, hmm that brings back memories when the government outlawed 4 star, and wanted everyone to use unleaded, these were produced to alter unleaded fuel so it would be safe to run classic cars on, but several magazines at the time tested the inline fuel catalysts and found they had no effect on the fuel, and still causes valve seat recession. All that is inside them is tin pellets.
I'm very skeptical about it's claims to add 3-4 RON on fuel, unless I see positive results from independant testing, I wouln't bother, and just use Silkolene proboost, NF Power or Millers octane boost

A good friend of mine has an engineering buisiness,And has rebuilt several engines that was ran on the very same thing you have mentioned,Becouse,Thay also,Thought it worked....Personally,I would`nt touch it with a barge pole,As one of the guys has already stated....If it were as good as the makers claim it was...EVERY NEW CAR would automatically have these fitted from the manufacturer....Its like oil addatives...If any were as good as thay claim...The oil makers would flock for the stuff ...Add it to their oil and make sure everyone knows about it being there.....Just a thought....Kev.
