WYIOC - 28th October Meet

Huh, kids not knowing what a Marathon is...
You leave the thread for a day and all you get is the boys comparing curly-wurlies and gobstoppers
Anyway, back on the tractor topic - at least lambo had the style to use proper colours for a car - none of this red and white crud

It's been for sale for 6 weeks + & he's only knocking £250 off the original asking price?! (I know he's doing the cambelt but it is advertised as fsh so surely it really should be done regardless).
If t'was me I'd ring a couple of Mitsi dealers with the spec of it & ask what ballpark figure they'd give for it on a p/x for an evo8 mr340. Add £500 (or less )to the best quote & offer him that!
Looks like a nice car though.

Phil, my favourite Evo shape. IMO, nicely aggressive & therefore better looking than the Classic or facelift sccob. Could be seen as 'too' agressive mind.
Nice colour too.
Not modified, looks very nice & it seems you are swayed that way... so bloody do it!!!
It'll be nice to have an increasing diversity in the car park!

sent him a message offering him a bit less cos I've seen an evo 6 in york at a mitsu dealers with only 21k on the clock and a 12 month warranty.. about a grand more than he's asking but could be worth it..
I'll report back after I've seen it on saturday..
thanks for the opinions.
forgot to ask.. will I still be welcome at the meets or will I be outcast number 2 ???

You'll be more than welcome in 'Outcasts Corner'.
I need someone to share the 2 for 1's with
As for the car, you don't really want MY opinion, do you.

Phil, just a thought...
You might want to have a nose through the Evo Buyers Guide, available here http://www.lancer-evo.net/html/manuals.html
It's a freebie d/l, and well worth having.

Dave. Oh dear.
I think you have firmly stepped over the 'bad taste' line posting that scanned cover from your CD collection..
Funny, I thought I'd spotted her fizzog smiling from your CD case when you were flicking through looking for a 'Cowboy Junkies' disc.
Definately far, far worse than my 5ive (Feat. Brian May) track.

It's ban-gin mate, top chunez 'n that.
On a lighter note, I may have to change my name The Corrado was clobbered last night, and if the repairs are more than 50p they'll almost surely write her off A silly little biatch who took 12 times to pass her test daydreamed her way straight into it whilst parked outside the house. FNS wheel is pushed about 4 inches forward and the wing is crumpled. Doesn't look too bad, but when you realise how far out of line the wheel is, you know it needs a lot of jig work and it will never drive the same again. Add that to the house move being delayed definately by one week, and possibly upto 5 and yesterday was 5hite
Here's the damage....

Some people are
You could look on the brighter side as the insurance might pay out more than you could sell it for - I got double what I'd been offered as a private sale when I totalled my previous zx. The ins co worked on autotrader price minus excess...

Not too optomistic Andy. Corrados aren't selling for much these days. Scabby ones go for £1k and below, top dollar examples can get upto £3k, but finding another as good with a provable mechanical history would be difficult. In the last 4 years it's had almost every servicable part renewed, and above that, the current engine only has 5k on it. I'm hoping they don't write her off

Sotry to hear that mate.. At least you got her and she didn't run off.
Hope everytnhing turns out OK with the insurance and the move as well.. the 28th may have to be a 'Cheer Dave & Helen up night'....
You and Chris will have a PM very shotly about the Quad.. don't want to bore everyone here talking about smoothness, listenability and soundtsage now do we?

Bloody hell mate. That is $hite news!
I remember you going through the spec of what you have had done to the Corrado. Gutted for you. If they do write it off would it be worth buying back and selling for parts to help make some more money back?

Al, cheers mate. Enjoy the sounds
Martin, thanks. Have thought about buying her if they do write her off, but more with the intention of fixing her myself (will I ever turn this corner).
If situations permit our attendance this month we may be dressed in tweed, with a tartan rug on the parcel shelf as we may come in Helens new Rover 75
