WYIOC - 28th October Meet
Can we beat last months meet for an Aural & Photographic Automotive treat..?
If you attended last month and your hearing has returned or you simply saw the stunning photos and fancy coming down to see if all the people and cars are really that good looking then the 28th is the date, 7:30 is the time and The Fenay Bridge pub (Penistone Rd, Huddersfield) is the place.
The usual mixture of talking, looking, touching (cars that is), drooling & eating will take place. The ususal run in will take place from the Holmfield Arms (Denby Dale Rd / Thornes Rd Roundabout, Wakefield) at 7:10.
On the back of last months success, we expect Daz to be more artistic and all members to be more photogenic...
Not sure if Ian will be returning in the new Thrapper, but if he does, stand well back from the tail pipes when he's showing & explaining the Oil pressure guage to someone whilst revving to over 6k.. you have been warned...
See you then..

I'm thinking that the only way to top Ian's audible pornography from the last meet would be to pay for Five and Brian May to perform their splendid rendition of 'We Will Rock You' live this month.
Anyone got a spare 20p? (I'm sure they'll have some change on 'em)

J4CK5ON??? Guys, I have a vague recolection of some footballing dude with a dirty car turning up years ago.. anyone remember?
(couldn't resist. Plus it takes the heat off me )
Hi stranger 9:15? We'll probably be noshing.. but the sound and smell of tourtered rubber enetering the car park will no doubt bring us scurrying out to finally get a looksee at the first club outing of our first & only 500 poneyed Supra!!
I've only seen it stationary, and it looked damn cool then.. would be nice to see it moving!!
Cheers buddy..

Not quite 500bhp mate but not far off!!!!
Not easy to drive at this time of year though, although brilliant for scaring your mates when the wheels start spinning when that 2nd turbo comes in!!
Only downside is the petrol bills, £50 = 200ish miles =
Will hope to see the Ferrari though, pictures never do those sorts of motor justice
Be good to catch up with a few folk too!!!
Cheers

You didn't have to carry the bu99er We're on for the Red Rose/Wilson Benesch £17k session shortly after my big move BTW And I'll get the Cyrus properly warmed up too.
Speaking of mag articles, just had a browse through a new one called Test Drive. 5hite, apart from a tiny article comparing an 05 STi PPP to Petters WRC Can't remember all the stats but IIRC 0-60 = STi 5.4, WRC 3.25 (in wet, with slicks and dry it would break 3 easily); 30-70 through gears = STi 11.4, WRC 4.2. The in gear acceleration figures from 450ft/lb torque were mind blowing. The writer said he's never felt sick in a car before Worth a look, then put it back on the shelf

Pics turned out poor due to needing a long exposure and trying to point the camera, hold it steady, speak to Dazza on the phone, eat my BigMac and indicate to change lanes all at the same time.
I'll put 'em up on photobucket, give us a mo...

A couple from the way over...
and one from the way home. This was very blurry, but looks okay in a smaller res.
Sorry Chris, none of you. You were just TOO far in front, most of the time, to get a decent pic. Must have been the thought of that curry
