A small contingent of the local brigade (us) met up with the boys and girls on tour today and had a nice, if short, blast through some roads for half an hour.....okay so there were delays...the rendez-vous was 2 hours late (what price a good GPS
)...more than half of the squad were about 2 hours in front of the guys we met, one unfortunate Evo owner is now driving a rented Pug...but it's going well

It was truly a pleasure to meet with the folks we only know by pseudonym on Scoobynet and to put faces to names.
Most importantly
, lunch was served, everyone met up, consumed steak and frites and the event was recorded
We await the group photo from cw42
The weather is fine, shorts are on, scoobies are rolling and by all accounts, folks are enjoying the roads...
We expect lots of photos and a full account of proceedings to follow (the french webclubbers will be watching).
Just think...only another 2000 kms to go!

Came back early last night all I can say is the trip was awesome best driving I have done in my life. A big well done to Terry for organising the event, great to meet such a like minded group just out for fun.
And a BIG "thankyou" to Terry from me too - went out with Stormy
(didn't fall out with him, or bend his car ) - and had a blast! Great company, great roads and the Nurburgring was a hoot, even if it was in the wet.
If I can work out how to post them, I'll stick some of photos up on the forum as well.
Great to see you all - enjoy the rest of the week (without blasting up and down hills, roaring through the tunnels etc. etc..........)

Home safe and sound last night around 23:30, what a long day. Massive thanks to Terry for putting that crazy idea into my head, to stormy and lynsey for navigating the fast group round the route and to all the guys and gals who came along and made the trip so fantastic
I'll get some shots up today if I can, and maybe a video if I've got time. Back to work for me tonight, although I don't know how I'll concentrate
Roll on the next one

OOOOPPPPAAAALLLAAAARRRHH
What A Trip
I’m home, pheww the cars still purring. She never missed a beat. The large amount of dirt and brake dust is coming off in chunks, the smiles are not receding though, sleep was like being in heaven last night, I’m just waiting for the come down. Probably when I clean the dirt of my bonnet and notice the trillion stone chips. Every one was worth it
To sum up the trip for me:
The Scooby-Evo Stelvio Tour A marathon of mileage, Optimax consumption, credit card swiping, tyre squealing, neck twisting hairpins, convoy leading, route book ripping, tarmac tearing, stone chip avoiding, forest stage blasting, whhhaaap-whaaap flash-flash Terry Tunnelling, Spec C pushing, 5point turning, coffee drinking, Italian road block dodging, horse whispering, scenery overloading, shear drop escapism, mountain top hotelling, glacier marvelling, exhaust flaming, fast club early rising, Nurburgring sliding, 8min40lapping with traffic dodging, autobahn engine shrieking, cow belling, great people meeting, good friend making, non-stop laughing, group hugging, driving, driving, driving, driving, and driving some of the best roads anywhere!!

Thanks to Terry for arranging the trip,
Mark, Roger and Marv for the Ring passenger laps,
and most importantly, to Chris for the brake pads and Stuart and Paul for use of the trolley jack.
I may have to try it again next year, but with half the mileage each day as I'd like some time to take in the scenery .
Most of the pics I've taken are here , if anyone wants the full 3072x2048 size originals, email me.
