that you are unqualified to make a meaningful stance against fox hunting
Oh and what actions exactly? I don't own any cats so can't be held liable by loonies like you who think cats should be controlled

You say the act of killing is cruel, I say it is no more cruel than cats killing. You say fox hunting makes no difference on fox numbers, I say cats DO make a difference on small mammal and bird numbers.
Yes its banned, I am not denying that, all I am saying is that banning it was a bad idea and that your reasons for supporting the ban are wrong and, furthermore, hypocritcal.
Oh and it doesn't matter whether you still own a cat or not. The fact you no longer have one doesn't absolve you from the responsibility for the damage it did to indigenous wildlife whilst in your care!
Now, if you must have the last word get on with it and make it good so we can get on with our lives......... in other threads!

No need, you quite clearly have to have the last word with repeating the same old rubbish even though I have more than suitably answered your terribly bad claims and the fact you have to keep coming back even though as you claim you are busy with other threads. So I will bow out now so you can reply to this and win your minowesque victory of having the final say, i'll settle for the fact I know in less than 2 years fox hunting with hounds will be illegal and assigned to history

The fact that cats kill wildlife is unquestionable, but does that mean that in a few years time, when the political correctness has gone totally mental we'll have a ban on keeping them as pets.....or at least be banned from letting them out of the house???
I have four cats, my neighbour has.....erm.....five I think, the next neighbour has two and there are approximately six feral cats on the farm where I live.
Cats are superb hunters and do like to "play" with their catches, but we still see loads of rats and mice on the farm. I'd think if the cats were as wicked as a lot of people think, we'd see far less mice.
My cats often bring home mice, but many times I am able to rescue them and set them free again, as the cats seem to enjoy letting them go in the conservatory *cue ....... fun trying to catch them*
Birds are a different matter.....when they catch birds and bring them home, they tend to be dead, but in all honesty there aren't many birds brought in.
I do like all animals (except wasps........even wasps hate wasps!!!), but I wouldn't stop having cats as pets just to save a few mice and birds!!! SELFISH OR WHAT??
I just love cats!!!
And dogs...I have two of them too!!!!

Cats are animals, domestic (arguably ), but animals never the less. They have basic survival instincts to hunt, albeit they are generally fed by their owners.
Human beings are supposed to be civilised.
There should be no comparison between a cat or a fox killing and humans using dogs to catch and kill a fox (or any other animal for that matter)

Cat ownership does more damage, and if you are going to play the numbers game, cat owners indirectly kill thousands more animals than fox hunters and each of these animals dies in the same violent way.
A fox dieing in the mouths of the hounds is no "crueller" than a mouse dieing in the claws of a cat, and the fact that you are not purposefully releasing the cat to kill is irrelevant because you release it knowing it WILL kill.
Therefore cat owners who look down their noses at hunters are hypocrites because the results of releasing animals TO kill and releasing animals KNOWING they will kill are exactly the same!

The concept of convincing each other anything now is largely a moot point anyway, although my eyes have been opened to the apparent pleasures to be gained in interfering in and screwing up other people's lives. Something that I am now eager to try myself at the earliest possible opportunity.
I find London offensive.... maybe I should vote for an increase in congestion charge and an increase in council tax to fund an improbable bid to host the olympics......
