Hi Phil,
I was thinking of camping - even a site within 10 miles or so would be better than 400 miles each day. Worth the drive though.

Yeah it's supposed to be a nightmare & we had a 6 week old baby to take with us She was so well behaved though I've just downloaded my photos from my camera & I took 120 yesterday & today
I didn't mind the driving because it was worth it It's not like I had to worry about scoob fuel economy I stayed in Bicester last night instead of coming home so my total mileage from Friday morning 'til tonight is 1,100 I'll upload the photos tomorrow
Simon
Thanks for the tour yesterday So glad I could meet you and thank you in person for the tickets
Thanks from myself, Zoe & little Aimee

Our first day of rallying by Josh (aged 43 and ¾)
Having safely avoided the speed *****, and found our beloved leader
(who was eating for a change) we trogged along to the Super Special
The next morning we moved along to service, where my darling boy tried to
bully me into signing him up for the Nicky Grist academy, before making our
way to Walters Arena, where we decided to camp for several hours……………
so laddie could get a better view.
The zero car was almost worth the wait, as it came popping and crackling past
and we laughed at the group of IM guests and insurance brokers (hello TOM)
that had been fenced in on the other side of the valley, and were being
guarded by vicious gangs of close harmony singers dressed in orange.
After an eternity of coffee and mystery burgers, the main contenders came into view with Loeb………
followed closely by the man himself
who seemed to have slightly softer front suspension than the rest of the field
although he redeemed himself by trying to hit the moronic French TV reporter
standing on the corner
Hot on his heels was Martin
and the young pretender
The excitement over, it was back to the services to see how much more money we could spend,
before retiring to the hotel.
Thanks again Simon, it was a weekend to remember.

Nice shots Josh - we got a wave from Rum and his guests at Walters Arena
Also remember that French (German?) TV reporter in Germany - wearing exactly the same clothes

Shame mate, would have been good to catch up over an over-priced and tasteless cup of coffee in Cardiff
TBH I was quite surprised my car was still there when we got back - thought the "valleys mafia" would have had an attempt at remving it from my possession or the local speed ****'s who were quite interested in my anti-lag on some of the road sections would be waiting
