wouldn't it be cool if all our clubs/formums came together to do more like this on a massive scale -
1. it'd brighten up the lives of many fortunate and less fortunate individuals alike (ourselves included)
2. it'd also echo what's been said here by people off many forums - and show the world that car enthusiasts are also real people who care and can make a huge difference (despite the govt hitting us for 6 ever which £££ way they can). another example is our annual NBO!
i'm glad this has circulated worldwide... i'm sure all involved feel very appreciated and proud (and so they should) - as a community (all forums/clubs) we have the power to make a huge difference to many people and we ask for nothing, bar some appreciation!
well done again eveyone!

Last year the norther scoobys and modified car clubs did a meet at vauxhall motors for a young lad, great turnout, from a very nice noble, to modded corsas and everything in between
Earlier this year, I took part in the MENCAP CLASSIC RALLY which is for an excellent cause.
If you search scoobynet, there are a number of people organising thier clubs in aid of charity, the most recent being redwrx, doing the Blackpool NBO for a charitable donation
It does bring a tear to your eye to see the power of our combined efforts to bring a little light into someones life, and also to show the car community around the world as something other than a bunch of speed freaks.
Pity we can't mobilize as well over issues that affect us all, high insurance, fuel prices, speed camera sites, speeding restrictions
chris.

Nice one chaps.
I just read this from a link on my forums (www.cruise-lincs.net). I'd just like to echo what everyone else has said. It was a truly thoughtful and touching thing to do.

Hi
I was one of these 150 scooby drivers last saturday and I must say it was quite impressive. It brought so much joy to Jesse ... actually brought tears in my eyes to see what a small and simple gesture can do. Thanks for all your nice replies and also thanks to all you other car enthousiast signing up to Scoobynet just to let us know your thoughts and appreciation.
Some more pics
cheers

I found this on the Ford Focus Owners' Club at ffoc.co.uk. I just wanted to compliment you all on an awesome job! Am I the first one from across the pond to find this thread?

On behalf of everyone at Scoobycity. Well done to everyone taking part in this, great effort. Proof indeed, that all subaru drivers pull out all the stops when it comes to charity and the lesser fortunate.
We have held two charity events now and each one has been a massive turnout. We raised nearly £6000 for cancer research at our last one

Amazing!!
Well done to every one involved With this, All those Subaru drivers pulling in the right direction to make Jesse's Day an amazing spectacular event that I am sure will stay with him for a long time to go..
Every one involved in any way large or small with this event should stand tall and be proud of your selflessness and heart warming gesture to this unfortunate little boy well done to you all.

Big respect to the Scooby gang, almost brought a tear to my eye reading the posts and seeing the amazing pictures, well done to all involved.
It must have been a great experience for all those that took part, and a day I am sure Jesse will never forget.

Well, thats the earliest I've cried in the morning! What a gorgeous thing for everyone to do for that brave boy! It must have been such a tearful day for the mother as well knowing that that many people cared enough to do this.
Well done to you all. Your all wonderful! xxx
