you can not go wrong with a Dell latitude, Inspiron are good value if you are not chucking it around

I work in computers, our users can buy any laptops they want we will only support them if they are dell

IMHO having had most laptops through work and at home Toshiba are the best in terms of build quality and features.. not the cheapest though.. but you pays your money. We use both IBM and Dell at work and IBM IMHO are much better than the dell models..

I spend my own money on Tosh's though..

No question about it - Apple. I've owned around 7 laptops in total, 5 pc and 2 Apple's (14" iBook and 17" Powerbook), the Apple's are by far the better machines

Okay, now I've got my head around the laptop CPU'S, based on the above feedback and spec, prices and girlieness - it's between the Dell Inspiron 510m and the Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook S6120 (although strugging to find 512 ram at the above price?). Will be ordering something in the morning.

Thanks Chaps.

Ordered the Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook S6120 based on the weight and battery life.

Thanks again - would never have looked near the Siemens were it not for SNET.

IBM bar none. The quality of their laptops justify the price

Also a IBM partner seller, only joined because I was so impressed with the laptops. Give me a PM if you'd like prices

Agree mate that IBM are the biz - but this was for my other half and unless they've started selling pink laptops then IBM didn't stand a chance.

Why do you say they're not practical. I've got an Area 51-M which I use every day at home / work. Only downside is that it's a bit heavy, so I wouldn't want to take it on the train, but otherwise it's great
