They maybe go to have a peak cos it is warm and slightly damp, with the idea of spinning a web to catch all the daddy longlegs that are going to **** in your mouth. Then they get too close to the edge and you breath in. As they hit your tongue it triggers a swallowing reflex and hey presto - not hungry at brekkie time.

See - if Bubba says its true it must be, cos he has lots more life experience than the rest of us (with the possible exception of Billbill)

Bubba, we digest spiders as we do food, food? And if we do, is the stuff we don't need excreted?

I think some of the spiders from sonics room made their way to my house as I had 3 of the beasties upstairs the other night.

Last night one of the nasty big ones decided to claim its territory on the lounge floor. I hope it doesn't appear again tonight.

And what is this rubbish that people spout about spiders being more afraid of us and that they don't come near you. Spiders seem to love chasing/following me.

Actually most spiders (web builders) don't have very good eyesight. They are aware something is moving above them and they are looking for cover. They can see a dark patch ahead (your shadow, or your shoes etc.) and head for that!

If they could really get a good look at you I'm sure they'd be terrified!

They fall from the ceiling and just happen to land in an open mouth - this tickles you and you do the closing your mouht thing which swallows them. Hence why its only 8 per lifetime - a fair old shot to land in an open mouth

With the size of some of the spiders here you address them as sir. (or ma'am )

spider update 3:

got the dyson on permanant standby now (prolly trip over the lead later and fall down the stairs...)
i reckon a ride in a DC03 for the unfortunate eight-legged one, wouldn't be dissimilar to an alton towers ride!!!!

i have cleaned the cylinder bit for maximum observation factor too...

bring it on spider...!!! - i'm waiting for ya!!

lol bobbo, very funny, you seem to know a lot about this kind of behaviour?? hahahah

i'm sure it will end up with me getting damaged in some way, or the dyson warrantee having some "spider usage" disclaimer cause and ***king all the filters up...

watch this space...
