I've got a dateless Irish plate so it couldn't have been me. Just as well 'cos if you had seen my car then it would have been stolen. I went to Scotland on the FireBlade this weekend, so hopefully my car is still where I left it.

We are from the Tyldesley Area and drive a dark blue stickered up my00.
Pretty new to the scoobys. Can you recommend any competent garages in the area for servicing and mods.
I've not noticed you around but my wife has when she has been to and from work.
I'll keep a lookout now, though I dont get the keys often. (Womens lib and that).

Cheers

The dark blue with gold stickers belongs to me and my wife. We have found that people in this area driving scoobys tend not to acknowledge each other. If you see us please give us a wave or a flash.

Think your just a few streets away from where I live. There is a place in warrington called DP motorsport think their web address is www.dpmotorsport.com (or co.uk) they seem to have a decent enough reputation but not found any kind of feedback on here, prices are a bit steep though for servicing and parts fitting, recently quoted £1800 for a powerfc fitted and mapped!, basically it is a 5 min max fitting job on that, the mapping takes a while but not £1300 worth (assuming powerfc is £500). There is also a place in stockport called pro sport who are a subaru dealer as well. There is a place called scoobyclinic in chesterfield that are reasonably priced and there are plenty of good reviews.

There are a few local Jap Tuners as well. I use HyperSR in Hindley Green quite regular, they are ok.

www.hypersr.com

There is also Grasshopper in Leigh, but I have never used them so I am not sure of there reputation.

Mines a dark blue classic wagon by the way. Keep your eyes peeled.

Hypers did idle valve, brakes and clutch for us. No complaints with Hypers themselves just the dealer over in Ratcliffe where we bought the car. Hypers fell out with them as well. I'll never buy a second hand car again from any dealer. Put me off for life.

went into hypers today for a gasket, seems like a decent enough place, nice tidy workshop, full of cars so they must be doing something good.

mines a silver bugeye, had it few months now. I head out from main street in Tyldesley most mornings before 7 and then sit through all the miserable roadworks on the M60.

Not the best way to enjoy a scooby. You will have to get a job in Scotland. Feel for you. Did a contract (not killing) in Rochdale few months ago. Couldn't bear being stuck in that traffic every day. I'll stick to working locally now with the earliest start of 10.00am.
We'll keep our eyes peeled for you on you way home as there is only one 7 o'clock in the day in our household.

Cool, good to see some more people from the area on here! I let a dark blue T Reg out from the bus stop in leigh today... don't know if he's on here?

andy10, I've noticed yours around quite a lot. What dump valve did you have... as I heared it a couple of times, and then it seems like you've took it off?

Grasshopper Pro sport in Lowton/Leigh, is a good tuning garage. They tend to get a lot of 300ZX's in there... but nethertheless a very reputable tuning garage amongst ZX owners. I haven't had any work done by them though... but then it does help when you work in a tuning garage.

Does anybody have any pictures of their scoobs to post up?

I don't own a scoob, but I have an R32 GTS, Celica GTR and Nissan March. I've only just got the celica about a month ago now, but sadly it needs an engine which I'm fitting real soon. Here's a couple of piccies:

Have people got any pics of theirs?

-Elliot

Says Race Tech on the DV. Still fitted to car. Does create lots of attention
when it hisses. Was already fitted on car when we bought it. Glad it was though as its part of the fun. 12 months on from Impreza ownership the sound still has appeal. I must be a sad man.
Will post some pics after the car has had a wash and the camera is charged up.

Nice cars by the way. Will keep a look-out for you on our travels. Also own an R plate Black Primera so if one flashes or driver waves that will be me.
Occasionally drive a KA which we bought to save a parking space for the Scoob outside the house. Will flash if lights work. Again black but on Y plate.

Was it dark blue? I thought it was black. Then again, I only got a quick glimpse.

I did see it had "L" plates on it though.

The driver works for a well known local tyre and exhaust firm in Tyldesley. Looks after Impreza owners very well. Seems to be a cult following of Subaru within the garage. At least 2 of the staff own them. He's just fitted a new spoiler and is now looking for a bonnet for the car.

Just seen a navy blue W plate with gold wheels on the East Lancs M6 to Golborne Island

It had scooby on the back and scoobydoo on the number plate

I didn't think I did too badly considering mine is tiptronic

We had a little run down the lancs!!

What local place is that? is it equippe or the one near the post office sorting place? (or is there more around here - only lived round here for just over a year and still dont know the place, just hope jollygreenmonster doesnt ring me for directions in a few weeks when I get the car mapped!)

Near the post office. I've lived here for past 36 years and don't want to know the place.

Hi,

Your Legacy looks somewhat familiar to me. Where you in St Helens (Clock face) on Monday I think, at about 1:00pm?
