I hope that I was driving properly and not hassling you. Got stuck in Rememberance Day parade in Atherton. The sound of the car becomes embarrassing at times like that. Wish it wasn't so loud at times but enjoy the noise at all other times.
By the way Sundays are supposed to be a day of rest. Your girlfriend is way out of order dragging you around Focus. Then again, after 12 years of marraige I have to get the DIY supplies in after work midweek, so that I can work all day Sunday. Only escaped this morning because she was still in bed. Took the Scoob so that she could not catch me.

Hassling us, think you were struggling to keep up!! lol
She is out of order dragging me around focus (already been b & q b4 focus) specially considering I had the hangover from hell, and she expected me to build a shed as well. It was a long day.....

No sympathy, wait until you are wed. At least you can still get a hangover these days. It was 50p a pint the last time she let me out.

Default Outback

The missis followed a blue Outback from lights at bottom of Shack up to her turning off at Atherton Central Station this morning around 8.15. Flashed the lights and waved as she turned off but got no response. (She wondered if it was because she is female - sure this happens but not by any of you guys hopefully ). Never seen this one before. Anyone else seen it?

Hi,

I thought it was you. I think I've seen you twice now. I usually do the odd dinner run for a couple of the lads/ladesses in my black/silver Nissan March with the white wheels (When they are clean!)

Your Legacy looks fantastic.

I should be driving my Celica ST183 pretty soon, as I've found an engine for it (After it blew up)... and will be fitting it this weekend.

Yep, that was me.
The car isn't clean though. It's actually quite shiny under the layer of muck (swissol wax see's to that). It does have a few dents though due to vandallism.
The bulbs are xenon gas filled H4 bulbs with the equivelant of 100W. The sidelights are very bright LED's.

i have some philips bulbs in my mains and they are a massive improvement over standard, but yours were at a different level. Where can you get them from? I have not got round to doing my sidelights yet doesnt look straight forward to fit them.

You can get the headlight bulbs very cheaply from Ebay. I got mine from Hong Kong for only £4 for the pair plus a fiver for postage. I've had them in the car now for about a year and a half. The LED bulbs are supposed to be a pure white , but I think they have a blue/white light. The rears are also LED bulbs so I can quite safely park the car on the street overnight with the lights on, without fear of draining the battery.

Ahhh Ebay, should have looked there first I suppose, I paid £29 for mine along with the sidelights. Dont have a problem with the lights being left on though as my lights turn off with the ignition. Have been thinking about get leds for the rear, think they are called afterburner or something like that, but cant make my mind up on them

Black scoob just spotted going towards Astley St/ Princes Ave near the Railway pub. Didn't get a proper look but it had a low level spoiler. Anyone on here?

As regards the sidelights I've heard that they are fiddly and theres a plastic piece that is prone to snapping. Is this correct as one of my lights have gone?
I think that I'll copy you two with the LED idea if I ever work out how to change them.

Changing the sidelight bulbs is a simple 2 minute job on the classic.
Open the bonnet, you should see a crosshead screw fixing the sidelight to the headlight. After you remove it, the sidelight should pop out forward. You might need to give it a thump with the palm of your hand. Getting them back in is always a wee bit trickier.

not me (unless my car been robbed but that would be strange that someone would rob it in stockport and then drive near where I live - checks carpark!)
Wouldnt mind gettin rid of my low level spoiler and getting one of the ironing board types. Who wants rear visibility anyway.

Yeah... I did drive past you once.

I work at Middlehurst Motorsport further down the road.... well more of a stones throw away really. It's just easier to carry stuff back in a car.

I'll flash next time I see you.

Andy's wife here. I was acknowledged by the driver of a black classic in Atherton around 3.10 this afternoon. If it was anyone on here, sorry but I kind of just looked straight through you. I have the worst job in the world (yes, I'm the one), the worst boss and the worst general manager. All I wanted to do was get home. I'll pay more attention next time. Lynne

You'll have to put a post of where you will be at a certain time so that all the local scoobs can drive past in a convoy waving and flashing. We can't have you left out, its just not right.

Default legacy seen today

Legacy spotted in Tyldesley today approx 12.56 and 17 seconds. Tried to catch you up but got a poxy Escort with an RS Turbo badge stuck in the middle of us.
The Escort made a lot of noise but didn't travel at the speed suggested by the noise. Lost you at Mort Lane when I turned left.

If you are on here please slow down as I'm only in my little Primera most of the time. The boss has the Scooby for her 2 mile a day trip.

Andy.
Mon to Fri about 17:00 to 17:20 coming up the big hill road. Then onto either the one way or short cut down the backs past that pub if the traffic is bad
Not this friday though as car is being mapped so will probably be doing a few miles up and down the a580 whilst it is being fettled with.

I've seen you a few times on the shortcut past the pub. I'm always looking out of the house window when I hear a scooby go past.
Where are you having the car mapped? Is it local?

Yeah been spotted!

A guy called Simon who posts on here as the Jollygreenmonster is coming to do it. Cant wait as the car should be a different animal from what I have heard. Reckons with the spec I have got, he will be able to map it to run and hold 1.2 bar of boost reliably, better economy when driving off boost (and also a flaming exhaust if I want it!)
The only local places that I know of who fit and map the power fc are Hyper in hindly green and DP motorsport in warrington.

Lynne is after a flaming exhaust to annoy people when they are sat on her bumper in a morning. She'd be happier with a flame thrower so that they would be set alight properly.

tell her to drive it properly then. Or better still, give you the keys and let her have the primera!
Otherwise a full decat, vta dump valve and a blip of the throttle may invoke said flames from rear end (alternatively shabaaz in boothstown can do a curry for similar effect)

Sounds a good idea giving me the keys. The others sound expensive.

The decat and vta can be expensive, the curry not to bad about 30 quidish for 2 with starters and a few drinks (the cobra beer is awesome), have a vindaloo or phall for the flame effect (will probably last about 24 - 48 hrs)

£30.00. Is there that much money in the world? Whatever happened to the chip barm in newspaper shared between courting couples? Approx price £1.00. The cobra beer sounds alright though but I'd end up driving then.
