Apologies to any Evo owners, don't want to upset anyone!

Like others, I think I'd go for Datsun 240Z, Honda NSX and Toyota 2000 GT Convertible (as seen in You Only Live Twice).
Mazda MX-5 rates a mention. Are we allowed to include race cars? If so, the Mazda 787B and the Toyota GT1. And the Honda RA300.

I personally think a good looking car is a timeless looking car, my personal list are:
Mazda RX-7 (last generation)
Honda CRX (Mk2 1989-1992)
Honda NSX
I think cars like the Supra, Prelude, Evo, Impreza, 200SX, 350Z all have or will look dated in a decade!

Got to chime in here.
Was hunting down a new motor to replace the Saab
Was looking for a manual VTEC prelude could only find auto's or 2.3's
So
4th gen Prelude VTEC (wish I could have found a nice red UK VTEC, or JDM BB1 manual)
Celica GT4 ST185 (standrd with the scoop, and CS with the vent) Just bought one in red. Absolutley fantastic.
Series 3 Supra 3.0i Turbo (just love the wedge) so nearly bought one of those, then I thought about my wallet (was advertised for £1800 locally with plenty of tax and ticket).
Mazda MX5 (models with popup lights, can you see a theme here).
Honda NSX, because it is so trying to be a supercar, and just about nearly pulls it off.

No Jap cars are beautiful imo.
However, the ones that don't look gross are the RX7, 350Z and maybe the Supra if it hasn't been turned into something stupid like in the Fast & The Furious.

well i'm surprised I disagree with most of you!
I dont see why people say jap cars are ugly.
To fit the definition of the word pretty it has to be the RX-7 or a bodymodded supra as already mentioned, but I own a MY00 classic impreza because i think its a great looking car, its not as 'pretty' as an rx-7, but its not as aggressive as an EVO 6 either, and its one of those shapes that i liked at first and now love.
Other cars in my list are the celica GT4 ST205 (round lights), honda S2000 and of course the EVO6 which has a beauty of its own by being so overtly aggressive.
The skyline R34 is the only skyline shape i like and even then its not great compared with the character of the EVO or impreza.
The bugeye is one of the ugliest cars unfortunately and i still dont think the new shape is different enough. For me to buy a new impreza, they'd need to go back to the classic shape and re-design from there.

Maybe Im biased because I own one, but one of the undeniable favourites surely has to be the Mk2 MR2.
Its not every day that you get the motoring press comparing looks akin to Ferraris.
Other than that I would say the MX5 latest revision - extremely clean and clever design.

Yes i have to agree 3rd gen (yes FD3s aka 3rd gen is the latest) is the best looking Jap car! While i do have a luv of the scooby & such like it is a butch beast which aint shy on being agressive thing but is anything but "pretty" my RX7 (cough er i mean all i'm not biased at all lol) is the best prettiest & not a bad performaner to boot
