What news ? Not registered
Great result indeed. For champions . . . . they were pants
Impressed with Josemi, got lots of the ball. And Carra . . . . he's the man Not too much to test him, but thats his natural position in the centre.
Stevie's still got that thunderous foot too

THE BIGGEST NEWS I'VE EVER POSTED, IS HERE IN THIS THREAD
I received another phone-call only 10 minutes ago, from the same person who told us about Madrid and Owen.
The call went like this:
"Kev, this is massive. Morgan has bought into the club and he's hot-footing it to Austria to try and persuade Owen to stay, but Owen's mind maybe made up"
Seriously, I want to believe it, but I want to believe it at the same time.
Honestly and Junior's life this is not a wind up.
If you want to believe it - believe it. If you don't - then don't.
But this could be the biggest news that any Liverpool site could bring.
I, now wait with baited breath.

I've been on the Liverpool.tv message board for most of the morning and nearly everyone on there has a 'reliable source'.
If it's to be believed then Moores has begged Morgan to buy into the club as Owen wants us to sign some world class players. Morgan jetted out to Austria immediatley and sat behind the bench whispering sweet nothings into Owen's ear. Owen wanted a guarantee of first team football but Benitez refused to be bullied. Parry is worried that Owen might leave on a free so he is discussing a swap deal with either Morientes or Beckham coming the other way.
It all seems quite exciting at the moment.

My head hurts . . . so did Owen come back with the rest of the team or not ? Or did he get a connecting flight to Madrid ? Quite frankly, if its all about the benjamins, he can go and get splinters in his ar$e with Los Galacticos.

DJ I nearly spat my tea all over my monitor when I saw the picture of Beaker
Separated at birth maybe
Morientes I can see in a red shirt. Beckham will be wearing blue next year.

I take it that LFC fans are quite happy for Owen to leave as it would appear his family hasn't been "spoken to" yet like SG!?

I think the split is about 50/50 at the moment. Well it isn't Morientes that LFC will get if the deal goes through with RM as he came off the bench and played.
Looks like the bid for Alonso has been accepted though by R Sociedad

Have to admire Benitez...

Baros and Cisse will still do it for me. Morentes would be a massive bonus but it is looking unlikely IMHO. I'd like to see Neil Mellor given a few run outs and see how he gets on under Benitez.
I haven't looked forward to a season this much in years. I just hope we can deliver.
Nathan..

I do
I'm going to have to give it some serious thought and consideration. One of the new lads on my section used to be a season ticket holder, before he moved down this way a few years ago. I'm going to beat him up about coming up to the matches when we are both off.

I wish I could have a season ticket and get to all the matches.
Wasn't there a survey done recently where some of the people who have season tickets would be over 110 years of age if they were still alive? Most families are reluctant to let them go so renew them each year.

They aren't taking any new applications for season tickets AFAIK
Just heard - Owen is on his way...
Real Madrid are reported to have agreed a deal to sign Liverpool striker Michael Owen, while Patrick Vieira's proposed move to the Spanish capital has stalled.
Spanish sources claim that Real have all but tied up a deal for England international Michael Owen after talks between all parties.
It is thought that Real have agreed a fee of €12 million (£8 million) plus one or possibly two players from the Spanish giants in exchange.
Midfield duo Juanfran and Antonio Nunez are thought to be the players in question that could move to Anfield in the opposite direction.
Liverpool could receive additional payments for Owen depending on Real's success in the future.
Highly-respected Spanish newspaper AS claims that Owen could be presented as early as Friday or Saturday by Real.
Also though, it appears the Alonso deal has fallen through
