Knobby,
If it's potentailly the last run does that mean there could be a chance of a low fly past as a passenger like Al said "things to do before you die?"
This is assuming I get there with the other stuff going on today

Who is meeting at The Bridge at 6.30pm this teatime for the run up to meet CB Dave and the So Scooby Crew?
If the answer is no-one, then I might as well mosey up separately.
Speak now, people....

PS. Kath otherwise (un)occupied....

So - who is needing to meet at The Bridge, Hudds???
And my phone number is 07971 167 983. And there's no need for me to delete this tomorrow, as most of the world knows it anyway.....

Well, may I first say cheers to all the new faces tonight. The new outweighed the old I think. I hope you all enjoyed it and will join us on future meets. With the dark nights and weather (probably improving ) drawing in, the runs will probably be put on hold until the spring, unless we organise some sunday jaunts (alas, I won't be coming on those ) Given the size of our group, the inexperience of the organisor (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it) and the length of the route I think we did well to keep people together until 2 miles from the end Next time I'll sort some maps and possibly break the groups down into managable sizes. I backed the pace down a bit when we got on the Ranges as in total dark, occasional heavy rain and unknown roads, safety must take precidence, but I think everyone seemed to enjoy it. Next time though, we must do it in the daylight. I might pick another pub too, as the prices are a little steep (I've had many a Guinness there, but never eaten, sorry) but then again, if the sun is shining, there are few better places. Apart from a few inconsiderate road users who deliberately impeded our progress and I believe some unwelcome attention from the boys in blue for some on the way home (thanks for the heads up Sticky, went a back route and avoided them ) a good time seemed to be had by all. Oh, except Knobby. Sorry mate, better bring the Scoob next time. You should have gone to the pub and waited for us to arrive. Really enjoyed that move on the Mazzer though
I believe there is another mini-meet next thursday at the Bridge for all the non-attendees tonight. I can't make it, but have a good one and thanks to all for a pleasant evening

Apparantley some villagers had reported a load of Subarus 'tearing' through their humble little hamlets at ridiculous speeds. (Probably the chap who ran out of his house to wave at me, ungrateful git, it's not like I didn't wave back ) As far as I could see (I was right at the back, and I didn't have me specs on!) the speed through the villages was kept to a very sensible level. As I explained to the boys in blue, when you get a group of these cars together a 25mph plod through a village sounds more like a full on assault from a couple of Luftwaffe squadrons. They were okay about it, but took the names, addresses and reg's of the four cars that they happened to catch in the filling station.
Bit of a downer to end an otherwise very enjoyable night. Had a quick chat to a couple of the new faces in the car park on the way out (sorry lads, didn't get yer names, you were from my neck of the woods though ) and might just end up at Evlington on Sunday for a passenger ride round the track in an RS2000. (If the offer still stands) Nice to see a Legacy out there making up the numbers, too.
Off to bed now. 20 hour shift no good.

It's all gone quiet early doors again - part-timers
Ta for the organising Dave even though I circumvented it... By the time I got to the layby you lot were well gone so it's a good job Chris didn't hold on for me Took about 3/4 hour to get through Leeds and another 1/2 hour to get the pub.
Didn't see any boys in blue after we split up apart from a dog van by Tommy Wass' and had a quiet run back.
Poss up for a FB meet next Thursday - can sample the culinary delights after the "refurb." and still have change left out of a farthing with the 3 stone of monkey nuts Doubt the red lion would do a 2 for 1 offer...

It appears I missed an eventful evening...
Dave, thanks for organising that mate, and my apologies for being very selfish and putting my family first.. I'll try not to let it happen again..
Shame about the unwanted attention spoiling a good evening.... Is it normally this policed? Maybe have to miss it off the 'venues to do' list if it it's getting bad...

I was watching a programme where some of the Locals over Ripon / Harrogate way (including Patrick Stewart) who were complaining about the high speed antics of some visitors (Bikers mainly) calling it the Yorkshire TT (not sure if this is accurate, but gives the moniker to some good driving roads)?
So I can see it becoming a problem if you live around those parts.
I know from our drives out that we've always respected the 30 zones in villages and therefore the locals.. But I can see that 14 rumbling scoobs could be perceived as anti-social by some guy who gets it daily past his front door..
Shame though.. The idea of a daylight run is better from the runs persepctive, but the villages would still get the hump.. The Policing tactic used there appears to be centred around taking your details to make you think twice about returning... Not sure how legal that is and you were probably within your rights to refuse to give them if you hadn't done anything wrong.. Is this correct Chris?
But if it's not policed to death then that's not our problem as long as it's done with respect when needed...
I feel all saint like now..! Hello birds & butterflies, what a lovely day..

Hi Folks,
Good to meet up - sorry to bail but the Thrapper don't like the tight and twisties and kept grounding out (with a bang!). I did'nt realise those were the roads we'd be taking since I've been to Burnsall several times with no issues on the main roads.
No-ones fault - just one of those things. Good job I did bail onto the main roads tho. It goes for trade in at the weekend

Anyway Al, the answer is 'Yes & No', as unfortunately, the taking down of reg numbers is entirely passive - ie. it doesn't require any intervention/participation by the suspect - I mean motorist.....
