HB, in order to fully appreciate the subtle nuances that make the Evo 8 stand out from the rest of the carp (?) out there one needs to indulge one's self for more than the ten minutes or so you get from your average test drive. Ask them if you can have it overnight, and take it out on some of your favourite roads. You WILL buy one, honest. It makes Subaru's feel like their suspension is fixed to the car via a complex arrangement of sponges, yoghurt pots, chicken wire and blu-tak. If you need any further convincing mine will be available for demonstration shortly. (Sensible, safe driving only, I'm afraid)

...of course, I could be biased

The dealers are pretty good Andy - will do about 1 1/2 hours or so, I reckon. And I only ever do safe & sensible. At least most of the time... Except when in a car... Or a pub...

You can't have one, anyway. I've got a WYIOC exclusivity clause written into my membership whereby anyone else turning up in an Evo has to hand me the keys. Don't you read the small-print?

Anyway, wot's wrong with a 996? Okay, Okay, the new 997, that's what...

You didn't mention the M3.... There again, it wasn't that fast. Left me a bit disappointed, TBH. Even with DSC off and the 'Sport' button pressed.

Maybe they should have a 'Extreme ***** Out' button....

I think you're leading in the 'most bored WYIOC member' competition.

I'm off home now, promised the kids I'll watch a Carry-on film with 'em

Back later

TOP IDEA

What do you reckon, a quid apiece, with a (very small) percentage to you for the idea!

Could add... 'but this one goes round corners' at the bottom.

It's a good job I know and trust (most of) you lot

ruddy turncoats - the lot of 'em

you try and set up an honest owner's club and they come over all name-dropping and the competition starts to see who's got the biggest "accoutrements"

Chris, had both surveys done today so the way these things go, should be in before my 45th birthday

And before the wise cracks start, I'm only 23
