For a start they are only £16k and if we're talking list price, the 172 & 182 are ~£15k with the Cup ~£13k so not much more.

But... don't buy a new one and you can get into a CTR for a lot less money!

CTR with Aircon is 17k................anyway I think they look crap and are over priced. Most Clio dealer would do you a deal for 13k......Honda dealers wont even discuss discount.

Craig, you can drive around that corner......so no probs there!

Dave
I used to have had a Mk1 172, plus the wife has the current spec 172 and I have a couple of mates with Cups - so I know the competition reasonably well. Maybe I am a reasonably commited driver, but the Scoob still pulls away - although the Cup puts up an amazing display cross country - our bumpy back roads means the scoob can keep the power down better!

I'm back on me soap box Dave but I maintain that the cup will lap the 'ring' as quick as your 944 turbo.
True...

Or you could get a DC2

I got Eibach Pro springs & Brembo discs fitted to my 172 mk1 today.
The ride is spot on. Not noticably firmer than the standard set up but it handles the bumpy B road stuff with far more confidence. Sharper steering response & no noticable body roll as well. Sticks like **** to a blanket now.
Should get even better as the springs bed in

Darren
