They should do breakfasts for anyone, like the residents you have to pay (even they dont get free breakfast, it is discounted for them tho)

Well, with help from Julian who popped round for a laugh and found himself being a spanner monkey, car all built back up by 7 ish or maybe before. I had had enough by 5 ish after the wrestle with the last water hose, and was going to leave to tomorrow to rebuild. No problem with up-pipe and downpipe, turbo fit, again a fiddle with hoses ( oil one ok ) but the spring joint on centre/downpipe a pain!
Found a cracked rubber inlet pipe, and large TMIC still rubs bulkhead ( look at that tomorrow ) so fired her up. Still had old ScoobyECU map for TD04, old restrictor in boost hose.
Fine, no leaks, no new funny noises, no smoke. Started first click.
Went for a run, watching AFR, Boost and knock. All quiet off boost, felt no different ( obviously ) so eased boost up a bit to haf bar, still fine. Squeezed throttle a bit more and boost came on rapidly and flew up.. lifted quickly and still got 15 psi ... tried a bit more and rapidly hit 17 psi before 4000, no KL activity untill tried one quck thrash and got a green.
Looks ok. New map coming Monday, unless I go over for it tomorrow. So can give it a good try then!
Thanks for the help Julian.
Sunday update. Full throttle in 3rd hits fuel cut, boost gauge showed 19 - 20 psi! Whoops, need those chips methinks!!!

Sounds good Neil, I would have come over, but Ive been up to my neck in it tonight
Tried to change my lambda, and the DP thread is well and truly knackered, finally after lots of swearing, tw@tting things with Lump Hammers, it went in
Even the re-threader I have got, got threaded !!!!
Only just finished getting every thing back together, Defis are in, but chickened out cutting the fuel lines, to get the Fuel Pressure Sender in (havent got any jubilee clips for the sender, so didnt want to risk it) AFR now re-housed to a single defi pod over by the drivers side
think my samco Y hose has just about had it too
Not been driving yet (too early in the morning now) so will have to give it a quick run tomorrow morning to make sure its all ok, before going off up to Well Lane to try and beat my last figures

Although I think you'll need at least another 100bhp to cope with the added weight of your stickers mate

Just goes to show, the OEM bits often work best ... ohh and also fixing leaks!
Now I have my TD05 on and fitting new ScoobyECU chips tomorrow, may have caught you up again... until you do your turbo and I go Power FC, you go FMIC I go AVC-R, and so on ....

Neil, did you do maths as school ? I got 255 last time, and 265 this time, an increase of 10, or have you been watching Spinal Tap
Torque was down this time, due to severly retarded ignition, caused by 2.5 degrees of Knock Correction
Well hopefully Ill get the turbo on soon, along with FPR & Fuel Pump, probably the same time I fix my downpipe, as the lambda thread is rather knackered, actually saying the word thread & downpipe is now a contradiction in terms for my exhaust
Chris is going to put me a new boss on, so I need to get another Lambda, and will get a new MAF too

I was actually using the Scoobynet performance evaluator for the "mods" so I was a bit optimistic
Why the knock correction? Did you reset the ECU etc. after sorting the rest? Hope you had delta dash in on way to Well Lane to see how it was going?
Get that turbo in, Julian will help!

I did a delta dash this morning, before going up to well lane, and the knock link lights up twice (upto the Red) at exactly 4.5k rpm in 4th on WOT, Delta Dash showed -2.5 degrees of Knock Correction at this point, so I checked what the retarded ignition was, and it was less than 20 !!!!!
That would explain the low torque figures, and at least the dip in the curve too
I didnt reset the ECU, and I forgot to get some Octane Booster from Chris before I ran the car, Once this tank is empty, ill fill up again, and do some more logs

Hmm, leaning out at 4.5k rom, or just over advanced / needs more octane ? Isn't a PPP ECU really a detuned STiV one ... sorted for UK fuel etc.?
Probably at max torque increase I guess, engine / ecu can't cope?
Try again, sure you'll get it sorted!!
I got fuel cut on td05 today! And I was thinking of squeezing into Well Lane.!

Not too sure on the PPP, I believe it is a map especially for the UKMY99/00
It always does lean out slightly at 4.5k, but most of the time its a slight flicker on the KL, and delta dash is normally about -1.5 degrees of Knock, but it doesnt normally retard the ignition as much as what it did this morning
LOL Get a Fuel Cut Defender

Got the new map for the ScoobyECU ... spikes to 18/19 psi-ish, hold around 17 - 18 on the gauge, but doesn't hit fuel cut!
The reset last night has meant NO knocklink activity beyond 1 green today, nice! Must have been the old TD04 map correction not being compatable with the new TD05. So let it learn now!
A bit slower to get on boost, a little less urgent from 2500 to 3500, then a rush onwards, full 18 psi from 3800 rpm and really does move now, guess the supporting mods are now getting used a bit, and still runns rich on load / WOT so 380 injectors not maxed out yet ( albeit with increased fuel pressure ).
Think I may hold off the A'pexi Power FC for a while then... let's see what she does as is!
Any idea if a custom Scoobyecu map would be as good / versatile as a full Power C ecu and remap, ( apart from lack of owner modifying / easy remap ).?
