Yes mate, appreciate it isn't a durr question. No, I've checked and changed bits around ie plugs and coil packs and two of them are not working. I thought it was only firing on 3, but turns out to be two.

I have posted up on the wanted board for some, so hopefully some cheap ones will show up. I did a search and some went for a tenner a piece but were unfortunately sold. Is that the going rate, or am I going to get ripped off?

It doesn't look like the ceramic is damaged, and it sounds like there's no tracking when you pull the pack off. The two that aren't working are the ones that have the cables stretched ie front left and rear right. Do you think this may have something to do with it?

Thanks again David.

Can one just disconnect the spark plug leads instead of removing the plugs for this crank over method.

A bit pointless, because it is to remove the compression of the cylinder. Disconnecting the crank sensor will remove the spark and fuel. You may as well leave them attached if you're going to leave the plugs in, as I will be doing on future oil changes

Can someone shed any light on the system I have, where there is no plug, but a bolt on may CAS?

Just thinking, David-You can't get them on the wrong way round because the cable won't stretch to the further plug. I still marked them up though

Can't see any obvious damage on the coils, so I'm going to break into them to see how they tick. Nothing to lose, really. Anyone else tried this?
